スプラタルカの活動

　4月27日に、「2024年 高校生 地球市民会議」の第1回事前研修を行いました。
　今回、応募者が15名と、久しぶりににぎやかな研修となりました。
　今回はテーマが「社会的課題を解決するために活動している組織を紹介しよう！」と、ちょっと面倒な内容なので、どこまで議論が進むか正直心配していたところです。
　ところが、実際に研修を始めると、それぞれがテーマに沿った組織についてしっかり調査していて、しかも自分の推す組織の選定も発表の準備も終わっていたのには正直うれしい驚きでした。おかげで、話し合いは盛り上がり、各自が推す組織についての説明を全員で共有しながら、推薦する組織を絞り込み、最終的に、主に国内向けに活動する組織と、主に海外向けに活動する組織とを、ひとつづつ（ふたつ）紹介することになりました。実りある議論だったと思います。
　そのほか、「学校紹介」のやり方（参加するメンバーの学校はバラバラ）や、「文化紹介」を実演方式にするので、誰が何を紹介するかなど、会議でやり取りするトピックについて、全員で話し合ったところです。
　それでも、発表資料を作る時間はなく、グーグルスライドを使って、オンラインで自宅から協同作業で作成することにしました。何とか、本会議（5月5日）の前の2回目の事前研修までには完成し、研修では発表練習まで行けたらいいと思っています。

We had the first preparation meeting for "Global Communication for High School Students 2025" on April 27th.
This time, there are 15 applicants, and it became a lively training session after a long time.
The theme is "Let’s introduce organizations that are trying to solve global and social problems in your country!", which is a bit of a complicated topic, so I was honestly worried about how far the discussion would go.

However, when the training actually began, I was pleasantly surprised to see that each person had thoroughly researched organizations related to the theme, and had already selected their own recommended organizations and prepared their presentations. Thanks to this, the discussion became lively, and while sharing explanations of the organizations they recommended, we narrowed down the organizations we would recommend. In the end, we decided to introduce one organization that mainly operates domestically and another that mainly operates overseas. I think it was a fruitful discussion.

Additionally, we discussed topics for the conference such as how to introduce schools (since the participating members are from different schools) and how to present cultural introductions in a demonstration format, including who will introduce what.

Still, we did not have time to create presentation materials, so we decided to use Google Slides to collaboratively work online from home. We will manage to complete it by the time of the second pre-training session before the main conference (on May 5), and I hope we can practice our presentations during the training.

　4月19日に、「中学生 ごみアート国際コンテスト」の第4回「生徒実行委員会」を開催しました。
　今後のスケジュールの確認やポスター作成状況などについての確認などを行いました。ポスターについては、マレーシア側、インドネシア側が完成です。
　ポスターが完成したところで、本格的な作品募集となります。
　次回の会議は5月3日（土）に開催する予定です。

The 4th "Student Committee" meeting for the "International Recycled Art Contest for Junior High School Student" was held on April 19th.
We checked the schedule for the future, and reviewed the poster creation. Poster of Indonesia and Malaysia sides are ready.
We can actually start promoting the contest after a poster is ready.
The next meeting is scheduled on May 3rd.

　4月5日に、「中学生 ごみアート国際コンテスト」の第3回「生徒実行委員会」を開催しました。
　今後のスケジュールの確認やポスター作成状況などについての確認などを行いました。ポスターは4月13日までに作成することとしました。また、マレーシア側で、4月20日までに作品のサンプルを作ってもらうことにしました。また、オンラインでの作品審査結果発表・表彰を10月13日（月）に行う予定とします。
　次回の会議は4月19日（土）に開催する予定です。

The 3rd "Student Committee" meeting for the "International Recycled Art Contest for Junior High School Student" was held on April 5th.
We checked the schedule for the future, and reviewed the poster creation.Posters will be made until April 13th. Also sample artworks will be made by members of Malaysia until April 20th. Announcement of contest results and awards ceremony (online) will be helod on October 13th (Monday).
The next meeting is scheduled on April 19th.

2025年3月24日に、神奈川県の大津中学校とインドネシアのSMP Negeri 1 Sragenとのオンライン交流が開催されました。
スプラタルカとしては、相手校の紹介や、実際の交流までを支援したところです。
お互いの学校紹介や、クイズ形式の文化紹介、自由質問など、1時間半の短い交流でしたが、充実した時間となりました。

Global Communication between Ootsu Junior High School in Kanagawa Prefecture & SMP Negeri 1 Sragen in Indonesia was held on March 24, 2025.
As for Supratarka, we introduced the schools and supported the actual exchange.
It was a short exchange of a hour and a half, including introductions of schools, cultural presentations in quiz format, and free questions, but it was a fulfilling time.

　3月22日に、「中学生 ごみアート国際コンテスト」の第2回「生徒実行委員会」を開催しました。
作品の募集についての未決定部分の確認とその決定や、今後のスケジュールの確認、ポスター作成についての確認などを行いました。イスラム圏は今ラマダン期間中で、その様子も教えてもらいました。
　次回は、2週間後の予定です。

The 2nd "Student Committee" meeting for the "International Recycled Art Contest for Junior High School Student" was held on March 22nd.
We confirmed the undecided parts regarding the collection of artworks and made decisions, checked the schedule for the future, and reviewed the poster creation. We also learned about the situation in the Islamic world during the current Ramadan period.
The next meeting is scheduled for two weeks from now.

2025年3月7日に、インドネシアのSMP N1 Sragenとのシステム試験を行いました。
SMP N1 Sragen側は初めての経験なので、装置の確認や会場の構成、椅子の配置、生徒の発表手順など、詳細を確認しました。
当日参加予定の生徒たちも加わり、手順を確認しました。生徒たちは相当に緊張していたようで、質問はあまりありませんでしたが、本番では積極的に発言してもらいたいところです。

We held a system test with SMP N1 Sragen on March 7th.
It is the first time for SMP N1 Sragen to experience this kind of video call event. Then we checked details of equipment, layout at the room, procedures of presentation, etc.
Students who will attend at the program also joined the test, and we checked the position of presentation. They seemed to be very shy, and didn't ask many questions. I hope they will be active and communicate with students in other countries.

2月25日に「For Good クラウドファンディング」の第2回担当者ミーティングを行いました。
クラウドファンディング公開前のオンラインの担当者ミーティングは、今回で最後となります。次回は、公開後1週間ほどたった後ということです。
説明用のイラストやスタッフ紹介・応援メッセージのデザインなどで手間取り、まだリターンの詳細などが出来上がっていませんが、何とか仕上げて3月前半には公開の手続きに進みたいと思っています。

The second "For Good Crowdfunding" staff meeting was held on February 25th.
This will be the last online staff meeting before the crowdfunding campaign is launched. The next one will be about a week after the launch.
We've been busy designing explanatory illustrations, staff introductions, and support messages, so we haven't yet finalized the details, but we hope to finish them up, and proceed with the launch process in the first half of March.

2025年2月28日に、神奈川県の大津中学校とインドネシアのSMP N1 Sragenとのオンライン交流のための打合せを行いました。
SMP N1 Sragen側は初めての経験なので、ビデオ通話交流の概要を説明し、今後の日程を確認したところです。
交流は、3月24日の予定です。

A staff meeting for Global Communication between Ootsu JHS & SMP N1 Sragen was held on February 28.
It is the first time for SMP N1 Sragen to experience this kind of video call event. Then we explained the basic ideas of it and discussed the details of it.
The program will be held on March 24th.

　2月22日に、「中学生 ごみアート国際コンテスト」の第1回「生徒実行委員会」を開催しました。
日本、インドネシア、台湾、マレーシアの中学生の実行委員で構成する委員会の最初の会議です。
今回が初めてだったので、お互いの顔合わせと、プロジェクトの概要の確認などを行いました。
また、コンテストの英語名称も無事決定しました。「International Recycled Art Contest」とします。
　今回、お互いのコミュニケーションのため、UDトークを試してみましたが、うまく行ったと思います。日本語、英語、中国語、インドネシア語を交えながら、お互いが理解できたようです。これで、英語の問題も基本的に解決できたと思います。
　今後は、Teams上で詳細を決めていくことと、定期的にビデオ通話で会議を開いてプロジェクトを進めていくことになります。
　最初は、みんな緊張していましたが、最後は、「楽しかった！」と言っていたので、今後が楽しみです。

The first "Student Committee" meeting for the "International Recycled Art Contest for Junior High School Student" was held on February 22nd.
This was the first meeting of the committee, which is made up of junior high school students from Japan, Indonesia, Taiwan, and Malaysia.
As this was the first time, everyone got to meet and confirm the outline of the project.
The English name of the contest was also successfully decided. It will be "International Recycled Art Contest."
We tried using UD Talk to communicate with each other, which I think went well. We seemed to be able to understand each other, mixing Japanese, English, Chinese, and Indonesian. This basically solved the English problem.
Now, we will discuss the details on Teams and hold regular video calls meeting to move the project forward.
Everyone was nervous at first, but at the end, they all said, "It was fun!" so I'm looking forward to what's to come.

2月14日に「For Good クラウドファンディング」の第1回ミーティングを行いました。
今回、「For Good クラウドファンディング」サービスの「いっしょプラン」というプランを選択しています。担当者と相談しながら進めるやり方です。初めてのことなので、実際にいろいろと相談しながら進めています。
正規のミーティングは開始前に2回行われます。その1回目を昨日行いました。
掲載する文章や写真を大方載せたつもりでしたが、ミーティングではいろいろと指摘され、それに沿った修正や追加をしていきます。
特に、「リターン」の種類や金額の設定は悩ましいところです。
次回のミーティングまでにほぼ仕上げる必要があります。
クラウドファンディングの開始は、どうやら3月初めになりそうです。

On February 14, we held the first meeting for "For Good Crowdfunding."
This time, we are selecting the "Together Plan" service of "For Good Crowdfunding," which involves progressing while consulting with the person in charge. Since this is our first time, we are moving forward by discussing various matters.
There will be two formal meetings held before the start. We held the first one yesterday.
I thought I had included most of the text and photos to be published, but various points were raised during the meeting, and we will make corrections and additions accordingly.
In particular, the types and amounts of "Returns" are challenging thing. We need to finalize everything by the next meeting. It seems that the crowdfunding will start in early March.

2月2日に、「2025年 中学生 ごみアート国際コンテスト」の打合せを行いました。
コンテストの概要と、今後のスケジュールを確認しました。
コンテストの正式な日本語名称も「2025年 中学生 ごみアート国際コンテスト」と決まりました。英語の正式名は、4か国の「生徒実行委員会」で決める予定です。
Teams上で実行委員会のやり取りをするための準備やUDトークを使った多言語ミーティングの準備なども行いました。
今後、他の国の実行委員を加え、全体での生徒実行委員会を開催する予定です。

We had a staff meeting of "International Contest of Artwork using Garbage for Junior High School Student 2025" on February 2nd.
We have reviewed the outline of the contest and the upcoming schedule.
The official Japanese name of the contest has been decided, and the official English name will be decided by the "Student Committee" of the four countries soon.
We also made preparation to use Teams and UD Talk software for Student Committee.
We will hold a Student Committee meeting among 4 coutries.

　我々スプラタルカは、クラウドファンディングの準備を進めています。
　以前より検討していましたが、最終的に株式会社ボーダレス・ジャパンが運営する「For Goodクラウドファンディング」のサービスを利用することにしました。株式会社ボーダレス・ジャパンは、ソーシャルビジネスの分野では有名な会社ですし、創業者の田口さんの著書「9割の社会問題はビジネスで解決できる」も非常に参考になりました。また、For Goodの担当者からクラウドファンディングの案内が来たこともよいきっかけとなりました。
　2月後半の開始を計画しています。目標金額は200万円です。詳細は、改めてお知らせします。
　皆様のご支援をよろしくお願いします。

 We at Supratarka are preparing for crowdfunding.
 We had been considering it for a long time, and in the end we decided to use the "For Good Crowdfunding" service operated by Borderless Japan Co., Ltd. Borderless Japan is a well-known company in the field of social business, and the book "90% of social problems can be solved by business" by the founder, Mr. Taguchi, was very helpful. It was also a good opportunity for us to receive an invitation email to crowdfunding from For Good.
　We are planning to start it in the end of February. Our goal is 2 million yen. Details will be announced later.

　　1月30日のキックオフミーティングの様子

10月に開催予定の「2025年 中学生 ゴミを使った美術作品国際コンテスト」の準備を開始しました。
前回の「2024年 中学生地球市民会議」での日本側の提案を発展させて具体化したプロジェクトです。
前回の参加校である台湾の新東國民中學、インドネシアのSMP Negeri 2 Yogyakartaに加えて、今回はマレーシアのHSBM中等学校も加わります。
今回は、「生徒実行委員会」を立ち上げ、4か国の生徒による運営を進めていく予定です。
ゴミを使って、どんな作品が登場するか、楽しみです。

We've started preparations for the "International Contest of Artwork using Garbage for Junior High School Student 2025" which is scheduled to be held in October.
The project is a concrete development of the proposal from the Japanese side at the previous "Global Communication for Junior High School Students 2024".
In addition to the previous participating schools, Sindong Junior High School in Taiwan and SMP Negeri 2 Yogyakarta in Indonesia, HSBM Secondary School in Malaysia will also be joining us.
This time, we have set up a "Student Committee" and plan to run the event with students from the four countries.
We are looking forward to seeing what kind of artworks will be created using garbage.

12月25日にバンコクの小学校（Watchanasongkram 小学校）を訪問しました。
ちょうどクリスマスの行事が行われていたので、見学させていただきました。
この学校のTor先生とは、10年ほどに渡ってプログラムの支援をしていただいています。
プレゼント交換をしたり、みんなで踊ったり、おいしいものを食べたりと、本当に楽しそうでした。

On December 25, I visited Watchanasongkram School (Elementary School) in Bangkok (Thailand).
It was Christmas event at that time, and I could watch it.
At this school, teacher Tor has been cooperating with us for more than 10 years.
Students looks so happy exchanging presents, dancing together, eating delicious dishes.

また、バンコクの仲良しの先生方と一緒に食事をすることも出来ました。皆さんとは長いつながりで、タイとの交流の起点ともなっています。
特に Rachawinit School の協力には感謝しております。今回、そのRachawinit校のジャケットを記念に頂きました。

Also I had chance to take dinner with my friends (teachers). We've been working together for a long time to run these programs, and they are the key members in Thailand.
Rachawinit School is also the key school, and I got a school jacket as a present.

　12月23日に、Korat（タイのイサーン地方）の Boonwattana School 高等学校を訪問しました。
　この学校は高等学校で、生徒数が約4000人という大きな学校です。
　また、英語以外の外国語の授業があり、例えば日本語や韓国語や中国語があるそうです。
　今回突然の訪問ですが、日本語担当の先生方が対応していただきました。
　日本語の科目ということで、これまで2度ほど日本の学校とオンラインで交流する機会があったそうです。JICAの支援で実現したそうですが、それで終了となったみたいです。これだけの規模の学校でも、やはりまだまだこのようなプログラムは一般的になっていないということのようです。
　その意味で、先生方も興味を持たれ、ぜひ参加したいとのことでした。日本語の勉強にもなるし、日本語を選択した生徒以外も参加できるので、より可能性が高いと評価していただいたようです。（基本的に、我々は母語でのやり取りを前提にしているので、言葉の件はあまり重要ではありませんが。）
　校長先生にはお会いできなかったので、参加いただくときは公式文書を発行して、校長の許可を取ったうえでの決定となりそうです。

<Visit to Boonwattana School>
On December 23rd, we visited Boonwattana School in Korat (Isan region, Thailand).
This is a large high school with about 4000 students.
They also offer foreign language classes other than English, such as Japanese, Korean, and Chinese.
Although this was a sudden visit, the Japanese language division teachers were kind enough to help me out.
As it is a Japanese language subject, they have had a few opportunities to exchange online with Japanese schools.
This was made possible with the support of JICA, but it seems that this has now ended.
Even at a school of this size, this kind of program is still not common.
In that sense, the teachers were interested and said they would definitely like to participate.
It would be a good opportunity to study Japanese, and students other than those who chose Japanese could also participate, so they evaluated it as a more promising option. (Basically, we expect communication to be in the student's native language, so the language issue is not that important.)
Since we were not able to meet the principal, it looks like we will need to send an official document and get the principal's permission before deciding whether or not they will participate.

　12月23日に、Korat（タイのイサーン地方）のYothinnukul School を訪問しました。
　この学校は、小学校・中学校・高校が一緒になった学校です。規模としては小さいところだと思われます。
　今回、交流のネットワークを広めるため、初めてイサーン（タイの東北地方）の学校を訪ねました。
　突然の訪問で驚かれていましたが、公式サイトやこれまでの写真・ビデオを見せながら説明すると興味を持っていただき、ぜひ参加したいとの反応でした。ちょうど校長先生もおられたので、担当の先生が確認したところ、了解が得られたそうです。
　参加をお願いするときは、改めて公式文書を送って合意を得る形になります。
　イサーンまで来たかいがあったというものです。

<Visit to Yothinnukul School>
On December 23rd, I visited Yothinnukul School in Korat (Isan region, Thailand).
This school is a combination of elementary, middle and high school. It is small in scale.
This was my first visit to a school in Isan to expand our communication network.
They were surprised by my sudden visit, but when I explained the program by showing the official website and past photos and videos, they were interested and said they would definitely like to participate.
The principal happened to be there, so the teacher in charge confirmed the plan and apparently agreed.
When we ask for participation, we send an official document to get consent.
It was definitely worth the trip all the way to Isan.

　12月17日に、ジョグジャカルタ（インドネシア）のSDN Ungaran 1 Yogyakarta（小学校）を訪問しました。
　この学校は、長年沖縄県恩納村の恩納小学校と交流をしていた学校です。恩納小学校で企画から関わってきたので、今回改めて訪問させていただきました。
　当時から担当されていたRia先生を通して連絡をしてたのですが、本当に大歓迎を受けてしまいました！
　授業そのものは見れなかったのですが、こちらのためにわざわざ部活動のガムランなどの児童を集めていただき、演奏を見学させていただきました。ガムランに至っては、担当のKustiyar先生のはからいで銅鑼の演奏体験までさせていただきました。
　校長先生、Ria先生を初め、全ての先生方から歓迎していただき、感謝の言葉もありません。
　今後とも、一緒に子供たちの地球レベルのコミュニケーションをはかっていくことを約束したところです。

On December 17th, I visited SDN Ungaran 1 Yogyakarta (elementary school) in Yogyakarta (Indonesia).
This school has had a long-standing relationship with Onna Elementary School in Onna Village, Okinawa Prefecture. Since I have been involved from the planning of the event at Onna Elementary School, I decided to visit the school again this time.
I had contacted them through Ms. Ria, who was in charge of the event at that time, and they really welcomed me!
I was not able to see the actual class, but they made a special effort to gather the children from their gamelan club activities so that I could watch them perform. As for the gamelan, I even had the opportunity to try playing a gong, thanks to the arrangements
made by Ms. Kustiyar, who is the gamelan teacher.
I am so grateful for the warm welcome I received from the principal, Ms. Ria, and all the other teachers.
We have promised to continue to work together to promote communication on a global level among children.

　12月16日に、ジョグジャカルタ（インドネシア）のSMAN 3 Yogyakarta（高等学校）を訪問しました。
　この学校は、今回初めて訪問する学校です。インドネシアの高校とのつながりがなかったので、小学校のRia先生にお願いして紹介してもらったところです。
　校長先生も会合に参加していただき、我々の活動の概要を説明し、将来の参加を提案しました。
　結果、このような交流のネットワークに興味を持っていただき、基本的な合意を得ることができました。高校生版を開催する際は、改めて案内状を送ることになりました。
　Ria先生のご協力に感謝いたします。
　校内にガムランのセットが準備されていました。学校の歓迎行事などで生徒が演奏するそうです。さすがジョグジャカルタの文化を感じるところです。

<Courtesy visit to SMAN 3 Yogyakarta>
On December 16th, we visited SMAN 3 Yogyakarta (high school) in Yogyakarta, Indonesia.
This was our first time visiting this school. As we had no connection with any high schools in Indonesia, we asked Ms. Ria working at an elementary school to introduce us.
The principal also attended the meeting, where we explained the outline of our activities and proposed future participation.
As a result, he was interested in this type of communication network and we were able to reach a basic agreement. Supratarka will send an invitation letter to the school before we hold the event.
I feel grateful for Ms. Ria's cooperation.
A gamelan set had been prepared in the main hall. Students will perform it at school welcome events. This is where you can really feel the culture of Yogyakarta.

　12月16日に、ジョグジャカルタ（インドネシア）のSMP Negeri 2 Yogyakarta（中学校）を訪問しました。
　この学校は、前回10月14日に開催した「中学生地球市民会議」の参加校でもあります。
　公式サイトの表紙にも横断幕の写真を利用させていただいている通り、非常に積極的に参加いただいています。今回も盛大な歓迎を受けました。
　前回参加した生徒や校長先生、関係する先生方も一緒に歓迎していただきました。たくさんのごちそうや、贈り物としてインドネシアの伝統の帽子もいただきました。
　参加した生徒の一人は、大きな賞を取ったそうで、校長先生も誇らしそうです。
　歓迎行事の後、生徒たちが学校を案内してくれました。ちょうど今日は試験後の楽しいイベントの最中だったようで、学校の中庭で生徒たちが大盛り上がりでした。
　また、今年度のグループ単位の発表の作品集を見ましたが、完成度の高さに驚いたところです。
　校舎内にあるモスクや売店なども見学させていただきました。
　実は前回の「中学生地球市民会議」で、日本側が提案した「ゴミを使った芸術作品のコンテスト」への参加をこの学校にも打診していたのですが、今回無事基本的合意を得たところです。（ただし、この学校は同じようなコンテストを開催したことがあるようで、その意味ではなかなか手ごわい相手になりそうです。）
　その後も、昼食に誘っていただき、ジョグジャカルタの伝統料理などを経験させていただきました。
　本当にありがたい限りです。

On December 16th, we visited SMP Negeri 2 Yogyakarta (junior high school) in Yogyakarta, Indonesia.
This school also participated in the "Global Communication for Junior High School" held last October 14th.
As you can see from the banner photo on the cover of the official web site, the school has been very active in participating the program.
This time, I received a grand welcome.
I was welcomed by students who participated last time, the principal, and other teachers. I was given a lot of treats and even a traditional Indonesian hat as a gift.
One of the students who participated won a big prize, and the principal seemed very proud.
After the welcoming event, the students showed me around the school. It seems that they were in the middle of a fun event after the exams today, and the students were having a great time in the school courtyard.
We also looked at the collection of works presented by groups this year, and I was surprised at how well-made they were.
I also had the opportunity to visit the mosque and the shop inside the school building.
In fact, after the last Global Communication event, we had approached this school about participating in the "Art from Rubbish Contest" proposed by the Japanese side, and we have now successfully received basic agreement. (However, it seems that this school has held a similar contest before, so in that sense they will likely be quite a formidable opponent.)
Afterwards, they invited me to lunch at a traditional restaurant, where I had the opportunity to try traditional Yogyakarta cuisine.
I am truly grateful.
