スプラタルカの活動

　3月22日に、「中学生 ごみアート国際コンテスト」の第2回「生徒実行委員会」を開催しました。
作品の募集についての未決定部分の確認とその決定や、今後のスケジュールの確認、ポスター作成についての確認などを行いました。イスラム圏は今ラマダン期間中で、その様子も教えてもらいました。
　次回は、2週間後の予定です。

The 2nd "Student Committee" meeting for the "International Recycled Art Contest for Junior High School Student" was held on March 22nd.
We confirmed the undecided parts regarding the collection of artworks and made decisions, checked the schedule for the future, and reviewed the poster creation. We also learned about the situation in the Islamic world during the current Ramadan period.
The next meeting is scheduled for two weeks from now.

2025年3月7日に、インドネシアのSMP N1 Sragenとのシステム試験を行いました。
SMP N1 Sragen側は初めての経験なので、装置の確認や会場の構成、椅子の配置、生徒の発表手順など、詳細を確認しました。
当日参加予定の生徒たちも加わり、手順を確認しました。生徒たちは相当に緊張していたようで、質問はあまりありませんでしたが、本番では積極的に発言してもらいたいところです。

We held a system test with SMP N1 Sragen on March 7th.
It is the first time for SMP N1 Sragen to experience this kind of video call event. Then we checked details of equipment, layout at the room, procedures of presentation, etc.
Students who will attend at the program also joined the test, and we checked the position of presentation. They seemed to be very shy, and didn't ask many questions. I hope they will be active and communicate with students in other countries.

2月25日に「For Good クラウドファンディング」の第2回担当者ミーティングを行いました。
クラウドファンディング公開前のオンラインの担当者ミーティングは、今回で最後となります。次回は、公開後1週間ほどたった後ということです。
説明用のイラストやスタッフ紹介・応援メッセージのデザインなどで手間取り、まだリターンの詳細などが出来上がっていませんが、何とか仕上げて3月前半には公開の手続きに進みたいと思っています。

The second "For Good Crowdfunding" staff meeting was held on February 25th.
This will be the last online staff meeting before the crowdfunding campaign is launched. The next one will be about a week after the launch.
We've been busy designing explanatory illustrations, staff introductions, and support messages, so we haven't yet finalized the details, but we hope to finish them up, and proceed with the launch process in the first half of March.

2025年2月28日に、神奈川県の大津中学校とインドネシアのSMP N1 Sragenとのオンライン交流のための打合せを行いました。
SMP N1 Sragen側は初めての経験なので、ビデオ通話交流の概要を説明し、今後の日程を確認したところです。
交流は、3月24日の予定です。

A staff meeting for Global Communication between Ootsu JHS & SMP N1 Sragen was held on February 28.
It is the first time for SMP N1 Sragen to experience this kind of video call event. Then we explained the basic ideas of it and discussed the details of it.
The program will be held on March 24th.

　2月22日に、「中学生 ごみアート国際コンテスト」の第1回「生徒実行委員会」を開催しました。
日本、インドネシア、台湾、マレーシアの中学生の実行委員で構成する委員会の最初の会議です。
今回が初めてだったので、お互いの顔合わせと、プロジェクトの概要の確認などを行いました。
また、コンテストの英語名称も無事決定しました。「International Recycled Art Contest」とします。
　今回、お互いのコミュニケーションのため、UDトークを試してみましたが、うまく行ったと思います。日本語、英語、中国語、インドネシア語を交えながら、お互いが理解できたようです。これで、英語の問題も基本的に解決できたと思います。
　今後は、Teams上で詳細を決めていくことと、定期的にビデオ通話で会議を開いてプロジェクトを進めていくことになります。
　最初は、みんな緊張していましたが、最後は、「楽しかった！」と言っていたので、今後が楽しみです。

The first "Student Committee" meeting for the "International Recycled Art Contest for Junior High School Student" was held on February 22nd.
This was the first meeting of the committee, which is made up of junior high school students from Japan, Indonesia, Taiwan, and Malaysia.
As this was the first time, everyone got to meet and confirm the outline of the project.
The English name of the contest was also successfully decided. It will be "International Recycled Art Contest."
We tried using UD Talk to communicate with each other, which I think went well. We seemed to be able to understand each other, mixing Japanese, English, Chinese, and Indonesian. This basically solved the English problem.
Now, we will discuss the details on Teams and hold regular video calls meeting to move the project forward.
Everyone was nervous at first, but at the end, they all said, "It was fun!" so I'm looking forward to what's to come.

2月14日に「For Good クラウドファンディング」の第1回ミーティングを行いました。
今回、「For Good クラウドファンディング」サービスの「いっしょプラン」というプランを選択しています。担当者と相談しながら進めるやり方です。初めてのことなので、実際にいろいろと相談しながら進めています。
正規のミーティングは開始前に2回行われます。その1回目を昨日行いました。
掲載する文章や写真を大方載せたつもりでしたが、ミーティングではいろいろと指摘され、それに沿った修正や追加をしていきます。
特に、「リターン」の種類や金額の設定は悩ましいところです。
次回のミーティングまでにほぼ仕上げる必要があります。
クラウドファンディングの開始は、どうやら3月初めになりそうです。

On February 14, we held the first meeting for "For Good Crowdfunding."
This time, we are selecting the "Together Plan" service of "For Good Crowdfunding," which involves progressing while consulting with the person in charge. Since this is our first time, we are moving forward by discussing various matters.
There will be two formal meetings held before the start. We held the first one yesterday.
I thought I had included most of the text and photos to be published, but various points were raised during the meeting, and we will make corrections and additions accordingly.
In particular, the types and amounts of "Returns" are challenging thing. We need to finalize everything by the next meeting. It seems that the crowdfunding will start in early March.

2月2日に、「2025年 中学生 ごみアート国際コンテスト」の打合せを行いました。
コンテストの概要と、今後のスケジュールを確認しました。
コンテストの正式な日本語名称も「2025年 中学生 ごみアート国際コンテスト」と決まりました。英語の正式名は、4か国の「生徒実行委員会」で決める予定です。
Teams上で実行委員会のやり取りをするための準備やUDトークを使った多言語ミーティングの準備なども行いました。
今後、他の国の実行委員を加え、全体での生徒実行委員会を開催する予定です。

We had a staff meeting of "International Contest of Artwork using Garbage for Junior High School Student 2025" on February 2nd.
We have reviewed the outline of the contest and the upcoming schedule.
The official Japanese name of the contest has been decided, and the official English name will be decided by the "Student Committee" of the four countries soon.
We also made preparation to use Teams and UD Talk software for Student Committee.
We will hold a Student Committee meeting among 4 coutries.

　我々スプラタルカは、クラウドファンディングの準備を進めています。
　以前より検討していましたが、最終的に株式会社ボーダレス・ジャパンが運営する「For Goodクラウドファンディング」のサービスを利用することにしました。株式会社ボーダレス・ジャパンは、ソーシャルビジネスの分野では有名な会社ですし、創業者の田口さんの著書「9割の社会問題はビジネスで解決できる」も非常に参考になりました。また、For Goodの担当者からクラウドファンディングの案内が来たこともよいきっかけとなりました。
　2月後半の開始を計画しています。目標金額は200万円です。詳細は、改めてお知らせします。
　皆様のご支援をよろしくお願いします。

 We at Supratarka are preparing for crowdfunding.
 We had been considering it for a long time, and in the end we decided to use the "For Good Crowdfunding" service operated by Borderless Japan Co., Ltd. Borderless Japan is a well-known company in the field of social business, and the book "90% of social problems can be solved by business" by the founder, Mr. Taguchi, was very helpful. It was also a good opportunity for us to receive an invitation email to crowdfunding from For Good.
　We are planning to start it in the end of February. Our goal is 2 million yen. Details will be announced later.

　　1月30日のキックオフミーティングの様子

10月に開催予定の「2025年 中学生 ゴミを使った美術作品国際コンテスト」の準備を開始しました。
前回の「2024年 中学生地球市民会議」での日本側の提案を発展させて具体化したプロジェクトです。
前回の参加校である台湾の新東國民中學、インドネシアのSMP Negeri 2 Yogyakartaに加えて、今回はマレーシアのHSBM中等学校も加わります。
今回は、「生徒実行委員会」を立ち上げ、4か国の生徒による運営を進めていく予定です。
ゴミを使って、どんな作品が登場するか、楽しみです。

We've started preparations for the "International Contest of Artwork using Garbage for Junior High School Student 2025" which is scheduled to be held in October.
The project is a concrete development of the proposal from the Japanese side at the previous "Global Communication for Junior High School Students 2024".
In addition to the previous participating schools, Sindong Junior High School in Taiwan and SMP Negeri 2 Yogyakarta in Indonesia, HSBM Secondary School in Malaysia will also be joining us.
This time, we have set up a "Student Committee" and plan to run the event with students from the four countries.
We are looking forward to seeing what kind of artworks will be created using garbage.

12月25日にバンコクの小学校（Watchanasongkram 小学校）を訪問しました。
ちょうどクリスマスの行事が行われていたので、見学させていただきました。
この学校のTor先生とは、10年ほどに渡ってプログラムの支援をしていただいています。
プレゼント交換をしたり、みんなで踊ったり、おいしいものを食べたりと、本当に楽しそうでした。

On December 25, I visited Watchanasongkram School (Elementary School) in Bangkok (Thailand).
It was Christmas event at that time, and I could watch it.
At this school, teacher Tor has been cooperating with us for more than 10 years.
Students looks so happy exchanging presents, dancing together, eating delicious dishes.

また、バンコクの仲良しの先生方と一緒に食事をすることも出来ました。皆さんとは長いつながりで、タイとの交流の起点ともなっています。
特に Rachawinit School の協力には感謝しております。今回、そのRachawinit校のジャケットを記念に頂きました。

Also I had chance to take dinner with my friends (teachers). We've been working together for a long time to run these programs, and they are the key members in Thailand.
Rachawinit School is also the key school, and I got a school jacket as a present.

　12月23日に、Korat（タイのイサーン地方）の Boonwattana School 高等学校を訪問しました。
　この学校は高等学校で、生徒数が約4000人という大きな学校です。
　また、英語以外の外国語の授業があり、例えば日本語や韓国語や中国語があるそうです。
　今回突然の訪問ですが、日本語担当の先生方が対応していただきました。
　日本語の科目ということで、これまで2度ほど日本の学校とオンラインで交流する機会があったそうです。JICAの支援で実現したそうですが、それで終了となったみたいです。これだけの規模の学校でも、やはりまだまだこのようなプログラムは一般的になっていないということのようです。
　その意味で、先生方も興味を持たれ、ぜひ参加したいとのことでした。日本語の勉強にもなるし、日本語を選択した生徒以外も参加できるので、より可能性が高いと評価していただいたようです。（基本的に、我々は母語でのやり取りを前提にしているので、言葉の件はあまり重要ではありませんが。）
　校長先生にはお会いできなかったので、参加いただくときは公式文書を発行して、校長の許可を取ったうえでの決定となりそうです。

<Visit to Boonwattana School>
On December 23rd, we visited Boonwattana School in Korat (Isan region, Thailand).
This is a large high school with about 4000 students.
They also offer foreign language classes other than English, such as Japanese, Korean, and Chinese.
Although this was a sudden visit, the Japanese language division teachers were kind enough to help me out.
As it is a Japanese language subject, they have had a few opportunities to exchange online with Japanese schools.
This was made possible with the support of JICA, but it seems that this has now ended.
Even at a school of this size, this kind of program is still not common.
In that sense, the teachers were interested and said they would definitely like to participate.
It would be a good opportunity to study Japanese, and students other than those who chose Japanese could also participate, so they evaluated it as a more promising option. (Basically, we expect communication to be in the student's native language, so the language issue is not that important.)
Since we were not able to meet the principal, it looks like we will need to send an official document and get the principal's permission before deciding whether or not they will participate.

　12月23日に、Korat（タイのイサーン地方）のYothinnukul School を訪問しました。
　この学校は、小学校・中学校・高校が一緒になった学校です。規模としては小さいところだと思われます。
　今回、交流のネットワークを広めるため、初めてイサーン（タイの東北地方）の学校を訪ねました。
　突然の訪問で驚かれていましたが、公式サイトやこれまでの写真・ビデオを見せながら説明すると興味を持っていただき、ぜひ参加したいとの反応でした。ちょうど校長先生もおられたので、担当の先生が確認したところ、了解が得られたそうです。
　参加をお願いするときは、改めて公式文書を送って合意を得る形になります。
　イサーンまで来たかいがあったというものです。

<Visit to Yothinnukul School>
On December 23rd, I visited Yothinnukul School in Korat (Isan region, Thailand).
This school is a combination of elementary, middle and high school. It is small in scale.
This was my first visit to a school in Isan to expand our communication network.
They were surprised by my sudden visit, but when I explained the program by showing the official website and past photos and videos, they were interested and said they would definitely like to participate.
The principal happened to be there, so the teacher in charge confirmed the plan and apparently agreed.
When we ask for participation, we send an official document to get consent.
It was definitely worth the trip all the way to Isan.

　12月17日に、ジョグジャカルタ（インドネシア）のSDN Ungaran 1 Yogyakarta（小学校）を訪問しました。
　この学校は、長年沖縄県恩納村の恩納小学校と交流をしていた学校です。恩納小学校で企画から関わってきたので、今回改めて訪問させていただきました。
　当時から担当されていたRia先生を通して連絡をしてたのですが、本当に大歓迎を受けてしまいました！
　授業そのものは見れなかったのですが、こちらのためにわざわざ部活動のガムランなどの児童を集めていただき、演奏を見学させていただきました。ガムランに至っては、担当のKustiyar先生のはからいで銅鑼の演奏体験までさせていただきました。
　校長先生、Ria先生を初め、全ての先生方から歓迎していただき、感謝の言葉もありません。
　今後とも、一緒に子供たちの地球レベルのコミュニケーションをはかっていくことを約束したところです。

On December 17th, I visited SDN Ungaran 1 Yogyakarta (elementary school) in Yogyakarta (Indonesia).
This school has had a long-standing relationship with Onna Elementary School in Onna Village, Okinawa Prefecture. Since I have been involved from the planning of the event at Onna Elementary School, I decided to visit the school again this time.
I had contacted them through Ms. Ria, who was in charge of the event at that time, and they really welcomed me!
I was not able to see the actual class, but they made a special effort to gather the children from their gamelan club activities so that I could watch them perform. As for the gamelan, I even had the opportunity to try playing a gong, thanks to the arrangements
made by Ms. Kustiyar, who is the gamelan teacher.
I am so grateful for the warm welcome I received from the principal, Ms. Ria, and all the other teachers.
We have promised to continue to work together to promote communication on a global level among children.

　12月16日に、ジョグジャカルタ（インドネシア）のSMAN 3 Yogyakarta（高等学校）を訪問しました。
　この学校は、今回初めて訪問する学校です。インドネシアの高校とのつながりがなかったので、小学校のRia先生にお願いして紹介してもらったところです。
　校長先生も会合に参加していただき、我々の活動の概要を説明し、将来の参加を提案しました。
　結果、このような交流のネットワークに興味を持っていただき、基本的な合意を得ることができました。高校生版を開催する際は、改めて案内状を送ることになりました。
　Ria先生のご協力に感謝いたします。
　校内にガムランのセットが準備されていました。学校の歓迎行事などで生徒が演奏するそうです。さすがジョグジャカルタの文化を感じるところです。

On December 16th, we visited SMAN 3 Yogyakarta (high school) in Yogyakarta, Indonesia.
This was our first time visiting this school. As we had no connection with any high schools in Indonesia, we asked Ms. Ria working at an elementary school to introduce us.
The principal also attended the meeting, where we explained the outline of our activities and proposed future participation.
As a result, he was interested in this type of communication network and we were able to reach a basic agreement. Supratarka will send an invitation letter to the school before we hold the event.
I feel grateful for Ms. Ria's cooperation.
A gamelan set had been prepared in the main hall. Students will perform it at school welcome events. This is where you can really feel the culture of Yogyakarta.

　12月16日に、ジョグジャカルタ（インドネシア）のSMP Negeri 2 Yogyakarta（中学校）を訪問しました。
　この学校は、前回10月14日に開催した「中学生地球市民会議」の参加校でもあります。
　公式サイトの表紙にも横断幕の写真を利用させていただいている通り、非常に積極的に参加いただいています。今回も盛大な歓迎を受けました。
　前回参加した生徒や校長先生、関係する先生方も一緒に歓迎していただきました。たくさんのごちそうや、贈り物としてインドネシアの伝統の帽子もいただきました。
　参加した生徒の一人は、大きな賞を取ったそうで、校長先生も誇らしそうです。
　歓迎行事の後、生徒たちが学校を案内してくれました。ちょうど今日は試験後の楽しいイベントの最中だったようで、学校の中庭で生徒たちが大盛り上がりでした。
　また、今年度のグループ単位の発表の作品集を見ましたが、完成度の高さに驚いたところです。
　校舎内にあるモスクや売店なども見学させていただきました。
　実は前回の「中学生地球市民会議」で、日本側が提案した「ゴミを使った芸術作品のコンテスト」への参加をこの学校にも打診していたのですが、今回無事基本的合意を得たところです。（ただし、この学校は同じようなコンテストを開催したことがあるようで、その意味ではなかなか手ごわい相手になりそうです。）
　その後も、昼食に誘っていただき、ジョグジャカルタの伝統料理などを経験させていただきました。
　本当にありがたい限りです。

On December 16th, we visited SMP Negeri 2 Yogyakarta (junior high school) in Yogyakarta, Indonesia.
This school also participated in the "Global Communication for Junior High School" held last October 14th.
As you can see from the banner photo on the cover of the official web site, the school has been very active in participating the program.
This time, I received a grand welcome.
I was welcomed by students who participated last time, the principal, and other teachers. I was given a lot of treats and even a traditional Indonesian hat as a gift.
One of the students who participated won a big prize, and the principal seemed very proud.
After the welcoming event, the students showed me around the school. It seems that they were in the middle of a fun event after the exams today, and the students were having a great time in the school courtyard.
We also looked at the collection of works presented by groups this year, and I was surprised at how well-made they were.
I also had the opportunity to visit the mosque and the shop inside the school building.
In fact, after the last Global Communication event, we had approached this school about participating in the "Art from Rubbish Contest" proposed by the Japanese side, and we have now successfully received basic agreement. (However, it seems that this school has held a similar contest before, so in that sense they will likely be quite a formidable opponent.)
Afterwards, they invited me to lunch at a traditional restaurant, where I had the opportunity to try traditional Yogyakarta cuisine.
I am truly grateful.

　12月12日に、ペナン（マレーシア）のTaman Merak 小学校を訪問しました。この小学校は、6月30日の小学生地球市民会議に参加してくださいました。
　授業を見学する機会はありませんでしたが、ちょうど次の土曜日に行われる行事の準備を見学することができました。いろいろの表彰がある大きな行事のようで、そのときの出し物の準備だそうです。低学年生の踊りを見ることができました。
　交流を記念する賞状も用意いただきました。今後も継続的な交流を進める予定です。

<Courtesy visit to Taman Merak Primary School>
On December 12, I visited Taman Merak Primary School in Penang (Malaysia).
This school participated in the Global Communication for Primary School on June 30th.
I didn't have a chance to observe classes, but I was able to observe the preparations for the event that will be held the following Saturday. It seems to be a big event with various awards. It was a preparation for the presentation at that time. I was able to see the dance of the lower grades.
　A certificate was also prepared to commemorate the exchange. We plan to continue to promote exchanges in the future.

　12月12日に、ペナン（マレーシア）のHSBM（High School Bukit Mertajam）を訪問しました。
　実は、この学校が我々のオンライン交流（ビデオ通話による交流）の始まりの学校となります。2010年に読谷中学校で初めて行った時の相手校でした。JICA沖縄に研修に来られていたファリダー先生と知り合いになり、その後先生が帰国後に準備を進めて、試験的な実施となったわけです。
　それ以来、何度となくプログラムに参加いただいています。ファリダー先生も、同じく最初から関わってこられたタン先生もお元気そうで何よりです。前回の訪問が2013年なので10年ぶりの訪問となりました。
　今回は、SDGsに関係して、バッグへのリサイクルの実習授業を拝見させていただきました。また、科学技術関連の賞を取った3D-Printed Pen Plotter の作品も紹介していただきました。
　長い信頼に基づくプログラムが維持されていることを光栄に思った次第です。

<Courtesy visit to HSBM>
On December 12, I visited HSBM (High School Bukit Mertajam) in Penang (Malaysia).
　In fact, this school was the beginning of our online exchange (interaction by video call). It was our partner school when we hold the program at Yomitan Junior High School for the first time in 2010. I got to know teacher Faridah, who had come to JICA Okinawa for training. Then after she went back home, we made preparations. Then finally we could hold a program as trial.
　Since then, they have participated in the program many times. Above all, both teacher Faridah and teacher Tan, who has been involved from the beginning, seem to be doing well. My last visit was in 2013, so it took about 10 years since then.
　This time, in relation to the SDGs, I had the opportunity to observe a practical class on recycling bags. She also introduced the award-winning 3D-Printed Pen Plotter.
　We are honored to maintain a program based on long trust.

　12月11日にマレーシアのペナンにあるSMK Tun Syed Sheh Barakbah 中等学校を訪問しました。
　以前より交流を担当しているロハニ先生がこちらの学校に異動になったので、あいさつを兼ねて今後の交流について話し合いました。
　関係する先生方に集まってもらい、スプラタルカの趣旨や実際の様子を写真やビデオで紹介しながら説明しました。
さっそく、来年に交流に参加してもらう予定です。

I visited Tun Syed Sheh Barakbah Secondary School on December 11th.
I visited there to see Ms. Rohani who moved to this school. She has been working with us for these programs for many years. I discussed with teachers in charge and agreed to start it here. Actually we plan to hold in next year.

10月26日に「2024年 大学生地球市民会議」を無事開催しました。
日本、フィリピン、台湾の大学生がスクリーンに一堂に会し、テーマに沿って議論しました。

We've held "Global Communication for University Students 2024" on October 26th successfully.
University students from Japan, Philippines, Taiwan gathered on a screen and communicate together according to the theme.

10月14日に「2024年 中学生地球市民会議」を無事開催しました。
日本、台湾、インドネシアの中学生がスクリーンに一堂に会し、テーマに沿って交流しました。

We've held "Global Communication for Junior High School Students 2024" on October 14th successfully.
Junior high school students from Japan, Taiwan, Indonesia gathered on a screen and communicate together according to the theme.

テーマ： 「私たちが望む、10年後のアジアの姿」
　　　　 "Our expecting images of Asia in 10 years"

【テーマに関する発表内容】【Presentations on the theme】

　今回我々は、 同じアジア人として、お互いが関わり合いながら作り上げたい10年後の姿を、具体的イメージとして紹介しあうことをテーマとしました。

This time, our theme was to present concrete images which we would like to create together as fellow Asians in 10 years' time.


＜日本側の発表内容＞ <Presentation from Japan>

　特にゴミ問題の解決について考え、ゴミを削減するための具体的方法を検討しました。そして、ゴミを使った美術作品を作って、その世界的コンテストを開催することで、ゴミ問題について考えてもらうきっかけにしたらどうかと提案することにしました。

In particular, we thought about solving the problem of garbage and considered specific ways to reduce waste.
We decided to propose that we create artworks using garbage and hold a global contest to encourage people to think about the garbage problem.

＜台湾側の発表内容＞ <Presentation from Taiwan>

　10年後の科学技術の社会への影響についての発表でした。医療や環境問題、経済、AI（人口知能）、日常の暮らしの中での影響を紹介しています。

The presentation was about the impact of science and technology on society in 10 years' time.
It introduced the impact on medicine, environmental issues, economy, AI (artificial intelligence), and daily life.

＜インドネシア側の発表内容＞ <Presentation from Indonesia>

　HERI（Health and Education Research Institute）についての紹介でした。HERI は、健康と経済を統合して、
特に社会と学生に大きな影響を与えることを目的とする組織ということです。

This was an introduction to HERI (Health and Education Research Institute).
HERI is an organization that aims to integrate health and economics to have a major impact on society and students in particular.

We started from introducing regions and schools.

【持ち物紹介】【Introduction of School Items】

それぞれの国で使っている教科書や学校で使っている持ち物を紹介しあいます。

We showed school items we use at school to each other.

【テーマについての発表と議論】【Presentation and Discussion on Themes.】

それぞれの国で話し合ったテーマに関する発表と、それについての議論を行います。

まずは日本側からです。

1. どの国もゴミ問題があるだろう。
2. ゴミを削減する必要がある。
3. 例えば、ゴミを使った美術作品を作って、訴えてはどうか？
4. では、ゴミを使った美術作品の世界的コンテストを開催しよう！
5. 小学生、中学生、高校生、大学生、それぞれの世代で開催してはどうか。
6. そして、世界中に、「ごみを使った作品美術館」を作ったらどうか。
7. 子供たちが中心になって運営したらどうか。
8. 中学校のコンテストは自分達中学生が運営しよう！

Each country will make a presentation on the theme which was discussed at each side in advance. Then we all discuss together about the presentation.

We started from Japan side.

1. Every country has a garbage problem.
2. We need to reduce garbage.
3. For example, why not create an art piece using garbage and make an appeal?
4. So, let's hold a global contest for art pieces using garbage!
5. Why not hold one for each generation, from elementary school students, junior high school students, high school students, and university students?
6. And what if we created "museums of artworks made from garbage" all over the world?
7. What if we take the lead in running it?
8. Let us organize the contest for junior high school students by ourselves!

＜作品例＞
「ゴミで作った花瓶」：花瓶は海に落ちている空き瓶。好きなところに掛けられるひもは使い捨てのロープ。
「ゴミで作った砂時計」：中身と土台の部分は海にあるプラスチック。支えの部分は木の枝。中はペットボトルで組み合わせたもの。砂は海のゴミを砕いたもの。

<Examples of works>
"Vase made from trash": The vase is an empty bottle found on the beach. The string that can be used to hang it anywhere is a disposable rope.
"Hourglass made from trash": The inside and base are made from plastic found on the beach. The supports are tree branches. The inside is made from assembled plastic bottles. The sand is made from crushed ocean trash.

今回も、日本側の参加者が少なかったのが非常に残念でした。
参加してくれた二人は、「非常に面白かった！」と言ってくれています。なかなか情報が伝わっていないようですが、今回も中身のある準備が出来て、発表まで進めました。
特に今回の日本側の内容（提案）は、工夫すれば可能なことがありそうなので、形にする方向で検討していく予定です。
日本側、台湾側、インドネシア側のみなさん、大変ご苦労様でした。ありがとうございます。

It was a pity that there were so few participants at Japan side.
The two who did attend said, "It was very interesting!" It seems like the information isn't getting through easily, but this time too we were able to make substantial preparations and make the presentations.
In particular, the content (proposals) from the Japanese side this time seem like they could be possible if we put in some effort, so we plan to look into putting them into practice.

10月13日に、「2024年 中学生 地球市民会議」の第3回事前研修をオンラインで行いました。
テーマ「私たちが望む、10年後のアジアの姿」に関する日本側の発表として、ごみの削減を目指すためにゴミを活用する具体例を取り上げることにしました。それをグーグルスライドに仕上げつつあります。

We had the second preparation meeting for "Global Communication for Junior High School Students 2024" on October 13.
We will present an example how we can utilize rubbish and promote reduction of wastes. We are completing it on Google Slide.

10月12日に、「大学生 地球市民会議」の第16回リーダー会議を開催しました。
各国のテーマに関する発表内容の状況を確認しました。日本、台湾側は、ほぼファイルとして出来上がっています。あとは、文字数の削減などの調整が必要です。フィリピン側は、ファイル作成の段階のようです。

We had the 16th leaders meeting of "Global Communication for University Students" on October 12th.
We checked the status of presentations on the themes of each country. The Japan and Taiwan sides are almost completed as files. On the Philippines side, it seems to be at the stage of file creation.

10月11日に、「2024年 中学生 地球市民会議」の第2回事前研修をオンラインで行いました。
テーマ「私たちが望む、10年後のアジアの姿」に関する日本側の発表として、ゴミ問題に関わるイメージの詳細を検討しました。面白い内容になったと思います。グーグルスライド上に共同で資料を仕上げる予定です。

We had the second preparation meeting for "Global Communication for Junior High School Students 2024" on October 11.
We discussed the details of waste issue which is Japan side presentation. We will work together to complete the presentation (proposal) on Google Slide.

10月11日に、「中学生 地球市民会議」の台湾側との通信試験を行いました。
会場のレイアウトの調整で手間取りましたが、うまく行ったと思います。
台湾に接近した前回の台風のせいで、本会議が試験期間中になったそうですが、それでも9名ほどが参加してくれるそうです。有難いことだと思っています。

We had a system test for "Global Communication for Junior High School Students" at Taiwan side on October 11.
It took some time to coordinate the layout of the room, but things will be alright now.
Because of the last typhoon in Taiwan, it becomes an exam period on that day. But thankfully they accepted to send around 9 students for the program.

10月11日に、「中学生 地球市民会議」のインドネシア側との2回目の通信試験を行いました。
特に問題なしです。画面共有もうまく行き、本番に臨みます。
生徒たちも楽しみにしているようです。＾＾

10月7日に、「2024年 中学生 地球市民会議」の第1回事前研修をオンラインで行いました。
今回も、なかなか参加者が増えていませんが、学校紹介、テーマについての話し合いなどが大体まとまりました。テーマ「私たちが望む、10年後のアジアの姿」に沿った日本側の発表内容は、ゴミ問題に関わる面白い提案になると思います。乞うご期待！

We had the first preparation meeting for "Global Communication for Junior High School Students 2024" on October 7.
We could discuss the details of School Introduction and the theme.
The Japanese presentation, which will be based on the theme "Our expecting images of Asia in 10 years." will provide some interesting proposals relating to the waste issue.

9月13日に、「2024年 中学生 地球市民会議」の第2回スタッフ会議を開催しました。

新たなボランティアスタッフも加わり、来週から本格的に募集を開始します。新聞社への案内件や、事前研修の内容など、本会議に向けた確認を行いました。
何とか来週中に新聞社へ案内に行きたいところです。

We had the 2nd staff meeting of "Global Communication for Junior High School Students 2024" on September 13.

We got a new volunteer staff, and we will start recruiting participants from next week. We discussed how to introduce the program to newspaper companies, also the details of preparation meetings, etc.

一通り、プログラムの説明と、今後のスケジュールや準備について確認しました。
次回は、システムの動作確認を行う予定です。

We had a staff meeting with Taiwan side on "Global Communication for Junior High School Students" on September 13.

We discussed the program plan and schedules and what to prepare.
We will do system test next time.

9月1日に、「大学生 地球市民会議」の第13回リーダー会議を開催しました。

各分科会の開催の様子や、テーマについての議論、今後の日程などについて話し合いました。
分科会は、まだ回数も参加者も十分ではないようです。リーダーに、自分が担当する分科会の活性化をお願いしたところです。
テーマの「地域活性化の例」については、フィリピン側から興味深い事例がいくつか紹介されました。例えば、「Sangguniang Kabataan Program」という若者が中心に運営する一連のプログラムの紹介がありました。

We had the 13th leaders meeting of "Global Communication for University Students" on September 1st.

We discussed and shared the situation of Subcommittee Group meetings and topics on the theme and following schedules.
We realized that Subcommittee Group meetings are not active yet, and we should make them more active.
There was some good introductions about the theme "Loca Revitalization" from Philippines side. For example, "Sangguniang Kabataan Program" is a set of youth programs for young people around their regions.

「大学生 地球市民会議」は、現在6つの分科会に分かれて、交流や議論を行っています。
募集に手間取り、分科会の開催が遅れましたが、いくつかの分科会でビデオ通話によるミーティングも行われました。
お互い自己紹介したり、日常の紹介をしたりしながら、テーマに沿った議論も始まるものと期待しています。
分科会の開催については、全てリーダーに任せていますので、開催頻度や日程もグループごとに異なります。
少人数の集まりで、お互いがより親密になってくれることを期待します。

"Global Communication for University Students" is currently divided into six Subcommittees where interactions and discussions are held.
Due to delays in recruiting participants, the holding of subcommittees was also delayed, but some groups could hold video call meeting.
We hope that as participants introduce themselves and their daily lives, they will begin to discuss themes.
The management of subcommittees is up to the leaders, so the frequency and schedule of meetings vary from group to group.
We hope that by gathering in small groups, participants will become closer to each other.

8月13日に、「2024年 中学生 地球市民会議」の第1回スタッフ会議を開催しました。
テーマについての話し合いが中心でしたが、無事テーマも決まり、ひと安心です。その後、会場についても決まりました。

We had the 1st staff meeting of "Global Communication for Junior High School Students 2024" on August 13.
The main topic was the theme. We were relieved that we could select the theme.

8月4日に、「大学生 地球市民会議」の第11回リーダー会議を開催しました。

まだ応募者が多くありませんが、今週末から「分科会」を開催します。リーダー7名が担当する7つの分科会で少人数に分かれてコミュニケーションを図ります。3か国の参加者混合で5名程度なので、気軽に話し合いが出来るものと期待しています。意思疎通の道具として「UDトーク」を活用する予定です。

We had the 11th leaders meeting of "Global Communication for University Students" on August 4.

There are not many applicants yet, but we will be holding "Subcommittees" starting this weekend. There will be 7 Subcommittees led by 7 leaders, and participants will be divided into small groups to communicate with each other. There will be about 5 participants from three countries, so we hope that they will be able to have casual discussions. We plan to use "UD Talk" as a tool for better communication.

7月12日に、「2024年 小学生 地球市民会議」の第9回スタッフ会議を開催しました。

今回が、最後のスタッフ会議をなります。
6月30日に開催した小学生地球市民会議のまとめと、これまでのボランティアスタッフとして活動してきたことの感想などを述べ合ったところです。
3月の初回の打ち合わせから、長い期間手伝っていただき、本当に感謝いたします。実りある経験になったことを願っています。また、事前研修と本会議を手伝ってくれたボランティアの皆さんにも感謝申し上げます。

We had the 9th staff meeting of "Global Communication for Primary School Students 2024" on July 12.

This will be our last staff meeting.
We summarized the "Global Communication for Primary School Students" held on June 30th and shared our thoughts on the volunteer work so far.
We are very grateful for their help over such a long period of time since our first meeting in March. We hope that it was a fruitful experience. We would also like to thank all the volunteers who helped with the pre-training and main conference.

8月～9月：少人数に分かれての分科会
9月～10月：各国ごとの準備会議
10月26日（土）：本会議
となります。
ポスター、計画書詳細、オンラインの申し込みフォーム、もほぼ出来上がり、やっと募集を開始できます。
少し遅れていますが、8月から少人数に分かれての分科会を開催する予定です。3か国（日本、フィリピン、台湾）の参加者が混じってのオンラインの分科会なので、きっと盛り上がることでしょう。＾＾

The poster, plan details, and online application form are almost ready, and we can finally start recruiting.
Although it is a little late, we are planning to hold subcommittee meetings from August. It will be online meetings with participants from three countries (Japan, Philippines, Taiwan). Then it will surely be exciting!

6月30日（日）に「2024年 小学生地球市民会議」を無事開催しました。
日本、マレーシア、スリランカの小学生がスクリーンに一堂に会し、テーマに沿って交流しました。

We've held "Global Communication for Primary School Students 2024" on June 30th successfully.
Primary school students from Japan, Malaysia, Sri Lanka gathered on a screen and interact together according to the theme.

テーマに沿って、それぞれの国から2つの行事や祭りを紹介します。
They introduce 2 events or festivals according to the theme.

日本側は、「大綱挽」（おおつなひき）と「ムーチー」を紹介しました。
Japan side introduced "Tug of War" festival and "Muchi" event.

「大綱挽」は、那覇大綱挽のビデオを紹介しました。
As for Tug of War, we showed Naha Otsuyahiki video.

ムーチーは、手書きで鬼の物語を紹介しました。
As for Muchi, we introduces a story of Oni (Japanese demon).

実際のムーチーも紹介しました。We showed the real Muchi too.

マレーシア側は、イスラム教の「Hari Raya Aidil Fitri」という祭りと、ヒンドゥー教の「Thaipusam」という祭りを紹介してくれました。
From Malaysia, they introduced "Hari Raya Aidil Fitri" festival for Muslim, and "Thaipusam" festival for Hindu.

スリランカ側は、「Vesak」の祭りと「Thai Pongal Festival」を紹介してくれました。
From Sri Lanka, they introduced "Vesak celebrations" and "Thai Pongal Festival".

文化紹介として、沖縄の空手も紹介しました。
As for cultural introduction, we performed Karate.

自由質問では、遊びの紹介で、マレーシアにも同じような遊びがあってびっくり。一緒にやってみました。
At the free question time, we showed a popular game, and realized that there is a very similar game in Malaysia.We both played it on line.

みんな楽しそうな中、無事終了しました。
We came to the end with lots of fun.

最後に、今日のまとめを行いました。
After the event, we summarized it.

今回も、無事終了です。

今回、参加者が2名となってしまったのは非常に残念でしたが、ふたりの活躍ぶりは見事でした。
今回、日本側が紹介した「大綱挽」「ムーチー」には、豊作祈願や厄払いなどの意味があります。日本や沖縄では、古くから自然を崇拝する伝統や先祖供養の伝統があるという意味で、このふたつを紹介することになりました。

It was very unfortunate that there were only two participants this time, but their performance was really admirable.
The "Tug of War" and "Muchi" that the Japanese side introduced this time have meanings such as praying for a good harvest and warding off evil spirits. We decided to introduce these two because Japan and Okinawa have traditions of worshiping & respecting nature and honoring ancestors.

　6月27日に、「2024年 小学生 地球市民会議」のマレーシア側とのシステム試験を再度行いました。
　問題ありません。また、簡単なリハーサルも行いました。
　本番が楽しみです！

We had a system test with Malaysia side for "Global Communication for Primary School Students 2024" on June 27 again.
Everything is fine. We also had a short rehearsal.
We are looking foward to seeing them soon!

6月22日に、「2024年 小学生 地球市民会議」の第1回事前研修を行いました。
今回、なかなか参加者が集まっていませんが、事前研修は無事開催出来ました。
学校紹介について、持ち物紹介について、テーマに沿った祭りや行事の紹介（２つ）について、どれも参加者の意見を聞きながら決めていきました。本番が楽しみです。
多くの子供たちに参加してほしいので、30日まで募集を続けます。

We had the first preparation meeting for "Global Communication for Primary School Students 2024" on June 22.
Unfortunately there are not many participants this time yet, but the preparation meeting was successful.
We are looking forward to meeting students from other countries!

　6月14日に、「2024年 小学生 地球市民会議」のマレーシア側とのシステム試験を行いました。
マイクの問題がありましたが、無事解決できました。
　子供たちからも、「楽しみにしています！」と言ってくれました。

We had a system test with Malaysia side for "Global Communication for Primary School Students 2024" on June 14.
There was MIC problem, but we could solve it this time.
Students said "We are looking forward to jon the event!".

5月19日に沖縄タイムス社を訪ね、「小学生 地球市民会議」募集記事の掲載をお願いしてきました。
編集部は、タイムスビルの11階にあり、眺めがすごくいいので、思わず1枚。

We visited The Okinawa Times, and requested for an article publication of recruitment for "Global Communication for Primary School Students" on May 19.
We took some pictures because the view is so nice from the flower of the editorial department which is located on the 11th floor!

5月8日に、「2024年 小学生 地球市民会議」のマレーシア側スタッフとの打ち合わせを行いました。
Taman Merak小学校は、今回初めての参加となるので、プログラムの概要から装置の構成、今回の会議の詳細まで、時間をかけて話し合いを行いました。多くの先生が参加されたので、その意気込みを感じたところです。
装置の一部に不具合があったので、次回の打合せまでに対応してもらうことになりました。
時間をかけて話し合ったので、だいぶ安心されたようです。

We had a meeting with staff of Malaysia side for "Global Communication for Primary School Students 2024" on May 8.
Since this was the first time for Taman Merak Primary School to participated in the program, we spent much time to discuss the outline of the program, equipments setting, details of the conferene and etc. I could see their interent, because of their number of teachers at the meeting.
There was a problem with part of the system. Then they will solve it untill the next meeting.
We spent enough time for the meeting, and they seemed to be much more relieved.

　4月25日に、「大学生 地球市民会議」の第5回リーダー会議を開催しました。

　無事、テーマが決まりました。
　「地域の再生」に関する具体例を、お互いに紹介することになりました。
　それぞれの国や地域において、「地域の再生」の事例を2つずつ紹介します。参加者の専攻分野に関する事例でも構いません。
　まずは、少人数の部会において、「地域の再生」に関する具体例を各自が紹介しあいながら議論を進めていきます。部会は3か国の学生が参加しているので、国を越えた事例紹介となります。
　その上で、それぞれの国ごとに、「ぜひ紹介したい事例」2つを選んで、本会議で発表する形式です。もちろん、発表にとどまらず、会議参加者からの、各事例についての突っ込んだ質問や意見や提案を期待しています。
　いずれにせよ、テーマが決まったことで、企画が進んだと実感するところです。

We had the 5rd leaders meeting of "Global Communication for University Students" on April 25.

The theme has been decided successfully.
We decided to introduce specific examples of "regional revitalization" to each other.
We will introduce 2 examples of "regional revitalization" in each country.
It can also be an example related to the participant's field of study.
Firstly, in a subcommittee, each participant will introduce specific examples of "regional revitalization" to each other, and discuss among them. Students from three countries are in a subcommittee, then it will be a case study beyond national boundaries.
Then, at each country, 2 valuable examples will be selected which will be worthwhile introducing and presenting at the main conference. Of course, in addition to the presentations, in-depth questions, opinions, and suggestions regarding each case study from the conference participants are expected.
Anyway, the theme has been decided. The project has been proceeded.

4月26日に、「2024年 小学生 地球市民会議」のスリランカ側スタッフとの打ち合わせを行いました。
スリランカ側スタッフとしては、初めての運営となるので、プログラム全般についての説明とビデオ会議のシステム構成などを一通り説明しました。
非常に積極的に参加していただいているので、こちらも助かっています。また、「このような機会は、スリランカの子供たちにとって非常に貴重な機会となります。」という言葉も、我々の活動の意義を再確認するところです。

We had a meeting with staff of Sri Lanka side for "Global Communication for Primary School Students 2024" on April 26.
It was the first time for Sri Lanka side to organize this kind of program. Then we discussed the basic idea of the program, and also explained the whole system for video call at the conference.
We are happy that they are very much attentive. Also their words "This kind of opportunity is very precious for children in Sri Lanka." reaffirm the significance of our activities

4月12日に、「2024年 小学生 地球市民会議」の第5回スタッフ会議を開催しました。
今回で、計画書やポスターなどがほぼ仕上がったので、4月後半から学校や新聞社に案内に行く予定です。

We had the 5th staff meeting of "Global Communication for Primary School Students 2024" on April 12.
We could mostly complete the documents and a poster for the program. Then we will start announcing the program to schools and newspaper companies.

4月11日に、「大学生 地球市民会議」の第4回リーダー会議を開催しました。

今回は、主にテーマの詳細について議論しました。
前回の会議で新しい案を検討したので、それについて改めて話し合い、最終的にその方向で進める予定です。
次回の会議までにはテーマを確定させたいと思います。

We had the 4rd leaders meeting of "Global Communication for University Students" on April 11.

This time, we mainly discussed the details of the theme.
We discussed the new idea which was expressed at the last meeting, and eventually we moved in that direction.
We need to decide the theme by the next meeting.

4月4日に、「大学生 地球市民会議」の第3回リーダー会議を開催しました。

今回は、台湾側フィリピン側の都合が悪く、台湾側0名、フィリピン側1名の参加となりました。また、フィリピン側の通信状況が悪かったようで、最後には日本側のみで会議を続けたところです。
今回もテーマの詳細について議論しました。国を混合した事前の部会と、国単位の本会議の組み合わせを考慮した、テーマを何にするかでいろいろな意見が出たところです。今回も決定という所まで行けませんでした。
次回こそは、テーマを確定させたいところです。
今回から日本側もリーダー2名体制となりました。

We had the 3rd meeting with leaders from 3 countries for "Global Communication for University Students" on April 4.

This time, due to inconveniences on both the Taiwan and Philippines sides, 0 participants from the Taiwan side and 1 person from the Philippines participated. Also,because of unstable Internet access from Philippine side, we continued the meeting with Japan side only.
This time again, we discussed the details of the theme. Considering the combination of the subcommittee meetings which included a mix of countries, and the main conference, various opinions were expressed on what the theme should be. This time, too, we couldn't make a decision.
We need to confirm the theme next time.
From this time on, we have 2 leaders at Japan side.

4月7日に、「2024年 小学生 地球市民会議」の第4回スタッフ会議を開催しました。

今回は、本会議の構成の詳細や資料の作成状況、全体スケジュールの確認などを行いました。また、今回からボランティアスタッフが1名増えたところです。
4月中には資料やポスターを仕上げて、小学校や新聞社に案内に行く予定です。

We had the 4th staff meeting of "Global Communication for Primary School Students 2024" on April 7.
This time, we confirmed the details of the program order of the conference, and checked the overall schedule.
Also we invited a new volunteer staff member from tihs time.
By the end of April, we will complete the documents and posters, and visit elementary schools and newspaper companies to inform our program.

2024年3月22日に、神奈川県の大津中学校とマレーシアのHSBM中等学校とのオンライン交流が開催されました。
スプラタルカとしては、相手校の紹介や、実際の交流までを支援したところです。今回は、お互い2度目の交流となります。
「学校の1日」として、写真やビデオで紹介したりしたそうです。また自由質問では、音楽やアニメについて盛り上がったそうです。
今回年度末ということで慌ただしかったので、次回は事前にスケジュールの調整をしていくことになりました。

Global Communication between Ootsu Junior High School in Kanagawa Prefecture & HSBM Secondary school in Malaysia was held on March 22, 2024.
As for Supratarka, we introduced the partner school and supported the actual exchange. This was the second time interacting with each other.
As a "day at school," they introduced it with photos and videos. Also, during the free questions, they seemed to get excited about music and anime.
It was the end of the fiscal year, so we decided to adjust the schedule in advance for the next time.

3月23日、4月1日に、「2024年 小学生 地球市民会議」の第2回・3回スタッフ会議を開催しました。

テーマ、日程、その他、基本的な部分について確認できたところです。
日程：6月30日（日）日本時間14:00～16:00
テーマ：「教えて！あなたのくらし」 - 宗教と生活の関わりを知ろう -
　　　　"Tell us about your daily life!" - Let's see the relationship between religion and life -
　　　＊日常にある行事を通して、その背後にある宗教的意味も一緒に紹介するという狙いです。
参加国：日本、マレーシア、スリランカ　の小学生
事前研修を行い、日本側として何の行事を紹介するか、その宗教的意味はどんなものか、などを話し合って発表の準備をします。
4月中旬には募集を開始する予定です。

We had the 2nd & 3rd staff meeting of "Global Communication for Primary School Students 2024" on March 23 and April 1.

We discussed the theme, schedules and other important topics.
Date: June 30 (Sun) 14:00 - 16:00 Japan time.
Theme: "Tell us about your daily life!" - Let's see the relationship between religion and life -
      *By introducing popular events, we expect them to understand religious background behind it.
Participants: Students of Japan, Malaysia, Sri Lanka.
We will conduct preliminary meetings, and discuss what events will be introduced from the Japan side, and find out the religious meanings behind it.
We will start recruiting participants in the middle of April.
