スプラタルカの活動

11月12日に、1回目の事前研修を行いました。
新型コロナの影響で、4年ぶりの会場での開催となります。今回は、会場も読谷村文化センターとなりました。
応募者がまだ多くはありませんが、参加した高校生は積極的に意見やアイデアを出してくれました。明るい未来、厳しい未来、双方の意見が出てきます。
「20年後の未来の姿」について、最終的に2つの予想（アイデア）にまとめます。それぞれの国から2つの発表を行い、それらについて議論する予定です。
次回の事前研修はオンラインで行う予定です。

The first preliminary meeting was held on November 12th.
Due to the influence of the new coronavirus, this was the first time in four years that we could gather in a same place.
Although there are not many applicants yet, the high school students who participated actively offered their opinions and ideas.
There were opinions on both sides, whether it is a bright future or a grim future.
In the end, we will summarize two predictions (ideas) about what the future will look like in 20 years.
We will have two presentations from each country and discuss them.
The next meeting will be held online.

2023年7月11日に、沖縄県宜野座村の漢那小学校と台湾台南市の新民國民小學とのオンライン交流を実施しました。
スプラタルカとしては、我々の交流ネットワークを通して相手校の紹介や、実際の交流までを支援しました。

今回が、お互い初めての交流となります。
初めてという意味で、お互いの紹介を中心に交流を行いました。
具体的には、
１．地域の紹介
２．学校の紹介
３．文化の紹介（実演）
４．自由質問
という流れです。

文化の紹介として、漢那小学校では、エイサーの演舞と三線の演奏が披露されました。新民國民小學では、中国ゴマの実演と伝統料理の紹介がありました。

最初は緊張していた様子ですが、段々と打ち解けて、お互い楽しそうでした。

On July 11, 2023, an online exchange was held between Kanna Elementary School in Ginoza Village, Okinawa and Sinmin Elementary School in Tainan City, Taiwan.
Through our network of exchanges, Supratarka introduced partner schools, and also gave general support for the exchange.

This is the first time for both schools to try onlie international exchange.
In that sense, we interacted mainly by introducing each other.

As an introduction to culture, Kanna Elementary School performed Eisa dance and Sanshin performance. Sinmin Elementary School performed Chinese Diabolo and introduced traditional cuisine.

They seemed nervous at first, but they gradually opened up to each other and seemed to enjoy each other.

9月25日（日）に「2022年 高校生地球市民会議」を無事開催しました。
アジアを中心とした世界の高校生がスクリーンに一堂に会し、テーマに沿ってお互いの意見を交換しました。

We've held "Global Communication for High School Students 2022" on September 25th successfully.
Participants from different countries gathered on a screen and discussed together.

テーマ：「この問題どう解決したらいいですか？ 知恵を貸してください！」
　　　　　（ひとりひとりが気になっている地球にやさしいことについて、みんなの知恵やアイデアを出し合う）

Theme: “How can I solve this problem? Please share your wisdom!”
              (Let's share ideas about Earth-friendly things that each of us are concerned about.)

期　日：2022年9月25日（日） September 25th (Sun)　日本時間14:00 - 17:00

参加者：各国の高校生 High School Students (15 - 18 years old)

参加国：日本、シンガポール、マレーシア、タイ、台湾、エジプト、インド、韓国
Nationality: Japan, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Taiwan, Egypt, India, Korea

会　場：各家庭　from home

今回は、事前にLINEを使って、文章での交流や議論を進めていきました。
3グループに分かれて、それぞれで自己紹介や文化の紹介、そしてテーマについての議論を行いました。
その上で、本会議を開いたところです。
今回は、あえて議論をまとめず、ひとりひとりが環境問題について考えていることを紹介しあう形としました。その意味で、議論が集中できなかったかなとは感じたところです。

At this time, participants were working on SNS(LINE) with words in advance.
Participants are divided into 3 groups, and introduced themselves and exchange topics of daily life and also discuss together according to the theme on SNS.
After that, we had the plenary session.
This time, instead of summarizing the discussion, we decided to introduce each other's thoughts on environmental issues. In that sense, the discussion was not very much focused on a certain topic.

議論の一部を紹介します。

＜二酸化炭素の削減について＞
二酸化炭素の増加は、海にも影響していて、「海洋酸性化」を引き起こしている。その対策として、工場を移転させて、海から遠ざけてはどうか？
「炭素税」を導入してはどうか？
先進国が多くを排出しているので、先進国はもっと責任を負うべきだと思う。
我々に出来ることとして、二酸化炭素を吸収するために、植林してもっと緑を増やすべき。
二酸化炭素を削減する行動をしたらポイントがもらえる仕組みを作ったらどうか？　（例えば、公共交通機関を利用したりエコバッグを利用したら、ポイントがもらえるなど。）

＜プラスチックごみの問題について＞
大企業に対してもっと訴えるべき。
マレーシアでは、「No Plastic Monday」がある。
生分解性プラスチックが早く普及してほしい。

＜ごみ問題について＞
マスクは簡単に分解されない。だから使い捨てマスクと再利用マスクを使い分けている。

Here are some of the discussions:

<Reduction of carbon dioxide emissions>
The increase in carbon dioxide also affects the oceans, causing "ocean acidification." As a countermeasure, why not relocate the factory and keep it away from the sea?
How about introducing a “carbon tax”?
I think developed countries should take more responsibility because they emit a lot.
What we can do is plant trees and increase greenery in order to absorb carbon dioxide.
We can make a system where we can get "points" if we act to reduce carbon dioxide. (For example, if we use public transportation or use eco bags, we can get points.)

<about the problem of plastic waste>
We should appeal more to big companies.
In Malaysia, there is "No Plastic Monday".
I hope that biodegradable plastics will spread quickly.

<about garbage problems>
The mask is not easily disassembled. Then we better use disposable masks and reusable masks rationally.

　9月10日と12日に、「高校生 地球市民会議」のグループごとの会議を開催しました。
　各グループごとに、既にSNS（LINE Group）上では自己紹介や学校の話などの交流が始まっています。3つのグループに分かれて交流しています。まずは、お互いの顔合わせという意味で、今回ミーティングを行いました。
　今週からテーマに沿った議論も始まります。

　9月5日に、「高校生 地球市民会議」のリーダー会議を開催しました。
　今回が初めてのリーダー会議となります。参加者は3つのグループに分かれ、SNS（LINE GROUP）を活用しながら交流や議論を行っていきます。そこで各グループのまとめ役としてリーダーを募集し、手を挙げてくれた参加者からリーダーを選出しました。
　お互いの顔合わせという意味で、今回初のリーダー会議を開催したわけです。
　自己紹介の中で、「このような地球環境に関する話し合いの機会は大いに意味がある」「地球規模で同世代どうしで話し合える機会は貴重である」などの表現があったので、我々としてはうれしい限りです。
　各グループのリーダーを中心に、グループ内での交流や議論が大きく発展していくことを期待します。

The first Leaders Meeting for "Global Communication for High Scool Students" was held on September 5th.This was the first meeting for leaders. Participants are divided into 3 groups, and will carry out cultural exchange and discussion with SNS (LINE GROUP). Then, we recruited leaders to facilitate activities among each group, and selected leaders from the participants who raised their hands.
In the self-introduction of leaders, there were expressions such as "This kind of opportunity to discuss the global environment is very meaningful.'' and "It is a valuable opportunity to have discussions with people of the same generation on a global scale''.
We expect each group to be developed their communication and discussion with volunteer leaders.

　7月3日（日）に、「青年 地球市民会議」の最終スタッフ会議を開催しました。

　本会議も26日で終わり、そのまとめとして開催しました。
　このようなボランティアスタッフを中心とした運営は初めてだったので、いろいろと試行錯誤がありましたが、非常に有意義な運営だったと思っています。
　この世代であれば、このように運営まで任せる仕組みがふさわしいと感じています。スタッフ参加者たちも、大変だったが参加して良かったという感想でした。

　ボランティアスタッフの皆様、大変ご苦労様でした。ありがとうございます。

The last staff meeting for "Global Communication for Youth" was held on July 3rd.
It was the first time to organize this kind of volunteer staff system. Then it was not easy to run, but it was really worthwhile.
It seems to be suitable for this generation to organize a program with volunteer staff members. They said they enjoyed it although it was hard works.

We really appreciate all staff members. Thank you very much.

6月26日（日）に「2022年 青年地球市民会議」を無事開催しました。

　日本、タイ、台湾の3カ国の青年がスクリーンに一堂に会し、テーマに沿ってお互いの意見を交換しました。

テーマ：「世界平和実現に向けた、あなたのアイデアは？」

　今回は、議論の時間が全く足りませんでした。
　それぞれのグループはしっかりと準備をしてくれていて、その分それぞれの発表も長くなり、お互いが議論を深める時間を十分に取ることが出来なくなりました。非常にもったいなかったし、申し訳ないと思った次第です。
　こういうことであれば、この世代については、もっと会議の時間を長く取ってもいいのかなとも思っています。

　また、今回はいろいろと新しい試みを試しました。例えば運営の段階から各国から2名に参加してもらって一緒に準備を進めてきました。大変ではありましたが、新しいアイデアが出てきてさっそく採用したりと、これまでにない展開となったことは大きな成果です。また、そのアイデアから、グループ分けを国を混ぜて行うことにしました。言葉の問題が気にはなりましたが、それ以上に事前に国を越えたコミュニケーションが出来る可能性に期待したところです。LINEグループによる文字によるコミュニケーションも加えたので、各グループとも、楽しいやり取りとなったようです。

　オンラインでの国を越えたコミュニケーションの可能性を改めて感じています。
　今後も、いろいろと新しい試みを行っていく予定です。

There was not enough time for discussion at all.
Each group prepared well, and it took longer time to present it, then we didn't have enough time to discuss.
I felt pity, and we may extend duration of a conference among this generation next time.

We also tried some new trials this time. 2 volunteer staff joined from each country and organized together from the begining. It was not easy, but got many new ideas. One idea was that 3 groups of participants should be mixed with all nationalities. It seemed to be very good, and participants seemed to have enjoyed a lot in their groups before the main conference. LINE group seems to be helpful for them because they could communicate with words first.

We see the potential of online global communication at this conference again, and we will continue trying different approaches.

＜日本　Japan＞　「幸せの電話ボックス」　"The phone of happiness"

瓶型のしあわせの電話ボックスです。
なぜ瓶かと言うと、幸せがいっぱい詰まってほしいので、瓶の電話ボックスにしました。
看板の代わりで、札に「幸せの電話ボックス」と書いてあります。
This is a telephone box in the shape of a bottle, because I wish the bottle will be filled with
happiness.
It is called "The phone of happiness".

電話ボックスの中身です。
電話はボタン1つで、センターを通して相手方につなげてもらいます。
募金箱と、お金の代わりに物を寄付するケース、幸せのポスターと鐘があります。
In the telephone box, there is a button. When you press the butten, it will connnect you to a person who also wants to talk on the phone of happiness through the phone center.
There is a donation box next to the telephone.
You can either donate money or items you want to donate into the box.
There is a poster of happiness and a bell in the box too.

募金は10円から25円でいいです。それ以上でもいいです。
お金がないときは、物でもOKです。
The minimum donation amount can be from 10 yen. You can also donate any thing.

電話をかけてる様子です。
AIによる通訳機能がついているので、どこの国にかかっても話すことができます。
電話をかけてる時は、瓶はマジックミラーになって見えないようになります。
This is a picture of how you make a phone call.
It has an AI interpretation function, so that you can talk to any countries.
Once the call goes through, the bottle becomes opaque. It means you can't see through anymore.

電話が終わったあとに、幸せを感じたら鐘をカランカランと鳴らします。
町中にひびきわたって、みんなが幸せを感じることができます。
After the phone call is over, if you feel happy, you can ring the bell. And the whole town will hear the sound of the bell, and the people will be filled with happiness.

「SPEED PORTAL」

1. This is our invention, Speed Portal. It is a machine that can teleport to other places.
2. It has special buttons and connected to power supply.
3. If I want to teleport, I have to press the buttons. Within few seconds, I will arrive to my destination. Now I want to show you how to use this machine.
4. Maximum of 3 persons can travel in this portal. There are 5 speeds in this portal.
5. The functions of this portal are
a) to travel to Japan and Taiwan to deliver our messages for peace. NO WAR, I LOVE PEACE.
b) We will let Japan and Taiwan to use this speed portal, but ... you have to pay us.
c) It really saves time and energy.
6. We guarantee you will be happy using our speed portal!

「DRONE 10-116」

1. This is our invention, Drone 10-116. It is combination of jet, helicopter and drone.
2. Our mission is to have NO WAR and SAVE THE WORLD.
3. It is made of tungsen. It has spacious cockpit and advanced medical equipment.
4. It can be used on land and water. It will help to find people who are injured. There are robot doctors and nurses in the drone. They can help them.
5. When there are no war, this drone can help people involved in car crash.
6. Now I will show you how to use this drone. (Pupils demonstrate)
7. This drone can carry about 1 to 5 people at once.
8. They will be 3 drones in each country. 3 in Malaysia, 3 in Taiwan and 3 in Japan.
9. We guarantee you will be happy using this drone!

＜台湾　Taiwan＞

「Borderless Amusement Park」

We will build an borderless amusement park with facilities for all ages, everyone can have fun and play together.
How to get to the Borderless Amusement Park? You can take the "Borderless elevator" from all over the world. This elevator can quickly enter and travel to all countries in the world. You can go to any country you want, and you can also enter Borderless amusement park through this elevator.

In the amusement park, the most special thing is that it will hold Olympic game, which is to cultivate human beings, through sport, and contribute to world peace. Since that the spirit of Olympics is no wars and world peace, all countries can have good relationship with others here.

「The screen where all place you can go!」

Our idea is to hold a meeting online with people around the world through anywhere door. Through the screen, you can visit the country you want to go, and we can also invite people to visit our own country.

Through this convenient portal, we can introduce our own country's culture, food, and famous tourist attracion to friends from all over the world, so that everyone can get to know our country better.

Smile is a good way of communictaion, we’ll use it as a communication tool. We welcome all friends to visit our country.

6月5日（日）に、「青年 地球市民会議」の第1回グループ会議を開催しました。

参加者は、3つのグループに分かれて、既にコミュニケーションを進めています。LINEグループを立ち上げて、そこでやり取りを進め、今回のグループ会議となりました。
言葉の壁はやはり大きかったようですが、通訳アプリなども活用しながら、それぞれのグループで楽しく実りある話し合いが出来ていたようです。
＊スタッフは中に入らないので、実際の様子はわかりません。

Participants are exchanging messages among 3 groups. This is the fist group meeting. They re already discussing on LINE groups. It seemed to be a language barrier yet, but they tried to communicate to each other with the assistance of translator apps. They said they all enjoyed communication.

　5月29日（日）に「小学生地球市民会議」の事前研修を行いました。
　今回は、兵庫、沖縄の小学生が参加してくれています。

　6月5日（日）に、日本・マレーシア・台湾の小学生がオンラインで参加して地球市民会議を開催します。
　今回のテーマは、「世界が平和になるための方法を発明しよう！」です。
　みんなそれぞれが自分のアイデアを考えてくれていて、全員が違うアイデアを出してくれました。最終的に、いくつかのアイデアを組み合わせる形で、全体のアイデアとしてまとめることが出来ました。アイデアをもとに絵を描いてもらうので、いいものに仕上がると思っています。本会議が楽しみです。
　また今回は、高校生のボランティアスタッフが通訳として参加します。

　5月28日（土）に、「青年 地球市民会議」の第6回スタッフ会議を開催しました。

　今回で打合せは終了し、次回から参加者全員のグループ会議に入ります。参加者を3つのグループに分け、それぞれでアイデアをまとめてもらいます。そして、6月26日の地球市民会議の時に、グループのアイデアとして発表します。３つのグループは、各国の参加者が混じった形で行います。
　グループ会議に合わせて、グループごとのLINEグループも立ち上げ、そこでやり取りが始まっています。グループの会議には、参加者以外は一切入らず、参加者の自主性に任せる形としました。
　今回は、いろいろな意味で新しい試みを行っています。どこまで出来るかは分かりませんが、本当に楽しみです。

From today, participants will be shared into 3 groups, and discuss among their groups according to the theme "What are your ideas to make world peace?". Those groups will not be based on each country, but they will be mixed with all country members.
Those groups will be managed by leaders and other staff won't jon. We trust them.

　4月16日（土）に、「青年 地球市民会議」の第3回スタッフ会議を開催しました。
　それぞれの側からボランティアスタッフを出してもらい、会議の運営を一緒に行っています。
　今回の打合せは、日本側から2名、タイから1名、台湾から2名、立ち合い1名（台湾側の先生）、司会1名が参加しました。
　無事、テーマも決定しました。
「What are your ideas to make world peace?」

　今回、スタッフ側の提案で、国際会議の形式を新しくすることになりました。
　事前に、3つのグループに分かれて議論を進め、それぞれのグループとしての提案を本会議で出してもらいます。ただし、グループ分けは国ごとではなく、国をまたいで行います。つまり、各国の参加者が混じった形でグループを作り、そこで意見をまとめてもらいます。
　このアイデアの提案者いわく、「その方が、お互い仲良くなれるのでは」。確かに。

　実際の運営はなかなか手間がかかりそうですが、面白い展開になって来たと楽しみです。

3rd staff meeting for "Global Communication for Youth" was held on April 16th.
This time, we are organizing the conference with volunteer staff from each country.

The theme is settled.
「What are your ideas to make world peace?」

This time, we will try a new style to organize the conference. Participants will be distributed into 3 groups in advance, and discuss together and make a certain proposal. The group will not be based on each country, but it will be mixed with all country members.
It must be exciting!

3月8日：
北海道清水町御影小学校と台湾台中市の清水區 清水國民小學との2回目の国際オンライン交流を実施しました。
台湾の児童は、スクリーンに映る相手の一挙手一投足に注目していました。
北海道の児童が雪を見せた時には歓声があがりましたし、スケートやアイスホッケーの映像を見た時も驚いていました。
交流は、英語でのやり取りが基本になりますが、日本の児童が中国語を少しでも話すと、とても嬉しそうな表情を見せます。

3月10日：
昨年より取り組んでいました、清水小学校と台湾の小学校（清水國民小學）との交流ですが、今後の姉妹校締結に向けて、同意書の署名に至りました。
当日は、台北駐日経済文化代表処札幌分処の粘信士處長に立会人として見届けていただきました。
今回も、處長自ら視察に来られるなど、清水町の交流には大変注目されていました。
今後、台湾との教育交流は日本の各県が力を入れていくと予想されます。

11月28日（日）に「2021年 中学生国際会議」を無事開催しました。

　日本、タイ、台湾の3カ国の中学生がスクリーンに一堂に会し、テーマに沿ってお互いの意見を交換しました。

テーマ：「あなたは、どのような人になりたいですか？　それはどうして？」

期　日：2021年11月28日（日） November 28th (Sunday)　日本時間14:00 - 16:00

参加者：各国の中学生　(Junior High School Students from 3 countries.) *10 students each.

Students from 3 countries (Japan, Thailand, Taiwan) gathered on a screen and discussed together.

The theme was “What do you want to become in the future? and Why?”

今回、日本側は全国から参加者を募集しました。結果として、沖縄・神奈川の中学生が参加してくれました。

＜学校紹介＞ School Introduction

「あなたは、どのような人になりたいですか？　それはどうして？」
“What do you want to become in the future? and Why?”

自分の将来について、それぞれが率直に思いを伝えてくれました。実際に、いろいろな思いや考えが紹介されましたが、特に環境問題につながる話が多かったのが、今回のひとつの特徴だと思います。

Everyone expressed their future plan or idea frankly. There were various ideas duting the meeting. It was intersting that many of their ideas were related to global environmental issues.

いくつか事例を紹介します。

「将来プロ野球選手として活躍したい。」　＊日本と台湾は盛り上がっていましたが、タイはそうでもない。どうやらタイでは野球があまり有名ではないようです。

"I want to become a professional baseball player."  *Thai students were not so much reacted. It seems that baseball is not so popular in Thailand.

「将来は画家か、アニメの制作者になりたい。地球環境問題とかを絵で表現したい。」

などなど。

 今回は、特にタイの中学生の明るさと活発さが印象的でした。

お互い、日本語・タイ語・中国語を使いながらも、通訳を介して意思疎通を行なえば、同級生どうし、興味は尽きない様子でした。

This time, Thai students were very cheerful and active. They speak in their native language like Japanese Thai and Chinese, but still they could communicate each other through translators, and they looked enjoyed it so much!

北海道清水町の 「清水小学校」「御影小学校」と台湾台中市清水區の「清水國小」との国際交流が開催されました。

「北海道で初めての交流」

今回の交流は、同じ町名、同じ名前の小学校という縁で始まりました。
スプラタルカの北海道支部としては、初めての交流を取り持つこととなりましたが、大きなトラブルも無く無事に交流することができました。

事前に清水町と学校の紹介ビデオを作成し、台湾の生徒に見てもらいました。
交流ではKahootを使用し、クイズ形式で自分の地域の紹介をしました。

「台中市清水區 清水國民小學」

ダンスパフォーマンス、学校紹介、自己紹介、楽器演奏をしました。

「質問タイム」

双方から活発に質問がされ、お互いのことをもっと知りたいという気持ちが伝わってきました。

「メディアの取材」

清水小学校のオンライン国際交流は北海道で初めてということもあり、交流前にも北海道新聞に掲載され、当日も北海道新聞、十勝毎日新聞の2社の取材があり、双方とも掲載されました。
また、台湾側でもメディアの取材があり、インタビューを関係者、生徒とも受けました。

11月21日（日）に「中学生 国際会議」の事前研修を行いました。
今回は、北海道、神奈川、沖縄の中学生が参加してくれています。
今日は、都合がつかなかったメンバーが多く、2名のみの参加となりました。（残りのメンバーは27日に事前研修を行う予定です。）

　今回のテーマは、「あなたは、どのような人になりたいですか？　それはどうして？」ですが、将来の目標について、なかなか楽しみな言葉が出ていたので本番が楽しみです。他国の子ども達にも分かりやすいように写真などを活用することを提案しました。

We held a preparation meeting for "Global Communication for Junior High school Students" on November 21st.
Students from Hokkaido, Kanagawa and Okinawa will join. Today just 2 students joined because the rest of students were busy.

We discussed and shared ideas and opinions according to the theme "What do you want to become in the future? and Why?".

7月23日（金）に「2021年 高校生国際会議」を無事開催しました。

　日本、シンガポール、台湾の3カ国の高校生がスクリーンに一堂に会し、テーマに沿ってお互いの意見を交換しました。

テーマ：「『地球にいいこと』について、具体案を提案する」

We've held "International Conference for High School Students 2021" on July 23rd successfully.

Students from 3 countries (Japan, Singapore, Taiwan) gathered on a screen and discussed together.

The theme was “Propose a plan which is good for the earth.”

今回、日本側は全国から参加者を募集しました。結果として、沖縄・福岡・兵庫の高校生が参加してくれました。

　日本側は、プラスチックごみの再利用について提案しました。特に、再利用プラスチックで作った名刺を活用した再利用の仕組みについて提案しました。

Q：日本ではプラスチックの名刺は一般的ですか？
A：紙の名刺が一般的です。（台湾も）

Q：再生紙の名刺もあるはずなのに、どうして再生プラスチックの名刺なんですか？
A：みんなプラスチックごみの問題に興味があったから、再生プラスチックの名刺に絞って提案しました。

Q：我々が再生プラスチックの名刺を作ることは難しいでしょうから、我々自身が出来ることはどんなことが考えられますか？
A：例えば、このようなプロジェクトを自分たちが提案して、国などに支援してもらうことが考えられます。

We propsed a solution of plastic garbage problem. It is a solution system using recycled plastic business cards.

Q: Is it popular using plastic business cards in Japan?
A: Paper business cards are popular in Japan. (Taiwan too.)

Q: There are various types of recycled business cards. Then why you chose recycled plastic business cards?
A: Because most of us are interested in plastic issue. That's why we focused on recycled plastic business cards.

Q: It seems to be difficult for us to produce recycled plastic business cards by ourselves. Then what do you think we can do by ourselves for this issue?
A: We may propose this kind of project, and get support by government or companies.

シンガポール側は、生物の多様性について、国や学校における取組の紹介があった。例えば、国全体の目標として、10年間に100万本の木を植えることなど。また、例えば生徒の中から「Green Ambassador（緑の大使）」を選んで活動を推進していることなど。

Q：木が育つには時間がかかると思うので、身近なところでどのようなことが考えられますか？
A：エコバッグを使ったり、自家用車じゃなくてバスや自転車を使ったりすることが考えられます。
台湾：台湾には、「木を植える日」があります。

Singapore side introduced Biodiversity projects in Singapore and schools.For example "ONE MILLION TREES MOVEMENT" is a nationwide effort to plant one million trees in 10 years. Also they have "Green Ambassadors" to promote biodiversity projects at school.

Q: It takes time to let trees grow.Then what do you think we can do in daily life?
A: We can use eco-friendly bags or we can use public transportation or bicycles instead of family cars.
Taiwan: we have "Plant trees day" in Taiwan.

台湾も、プラスチックごみの削減について紹介があった。
日常の中に取り入れることが重要です。例えば、エコバッグやマイストローやマイおはしを利用する。（台湾でよく飲まれるタピオカミルクティーなどで利用できる。）

Q：プラスチックの買い物袋はいくらしますか？
A：日本と同じくらいです。

Q：食べ物とかで、中身だけを買って詰め替える方式のお店とかありますか？
A：少しはある。　日本：少しはある。

Q：ガラスのストローは危なくないんですか？
A：大丈夫です。

Taiwan side also introduced solutions to plastic garbage problems.
They said we should make it as our habit and life style to use eco-friendly gadgets, for example we can use eco bags or "my straw", "my chop sticks".

Q: How much is a plastic bag when we use at a store?
A: It is almost the same price as in Japan.

Q: Are there stores selling items with refilling system?
A: There are some.  Japan: There are some also.

Q: Is glass straw not dangerous?
A: Not really.

 会議中、これ以外にもいろいろな意見がありました。

テーマに沿った会議ののち、もっと気軽にお互い自由に質問する時間を設けました。

例えば、「オリンピックで楽しみにしている競技は何ですか？」「夜の時間はどう過ごしているのですか？　（台湾にはナイトマーケットがあります。）」「授業は何時間あるのですか？」
などなど。

We had "Free question time" after serious discussion.

They exchanged varous questions like "What is your favorite sport during Olympic games?" "How do you spend time during night time?" (In Taiwan, we have Night Markets.) "How long do you study at school?" etc.

　いつものように、話は尽きず、時間が足りないということになりますが、今回はこれで終了です。

　日本側としては、「なぜ名刺にこだわったのか」というところが、ちゃんと伝わっていなかったように思えるので、そこが残念です。名刺は、社会人同士がはじめてあいさつする際に必ず交換するもので、会話のきっかけにもなり、自分や所属する組織の紹介にもなります。その意味で、プラスチックごみ問題に関する非常にいい情報提供手段と考えたわけです。

　また、資源の再利用という意味で、バナナペーパーを使った名刺やサトウキビの搾りかすを再利用した名刺など、名刺という形でいろいろの可能性があることも事前研修の中で出ていたので、そこまで紹介しておきたかったところです。

　今回は、お互い「地球にいいことについて」提案することになっていたので、準備に時間がかかりました。その分、地球環境について考える良い機会になったことを期待します。

It is always true that there is not enough time to communicate to each other during a conference.

As for Japan side, it seems that we couldn't present very well why we focused on business cards this time. Business card is the first item we exchange when we meet a business person at the first time. At that time we introduce myself and my company with the business card. Then it is a very good chance to introduce plastic recycle topics such as how we or our company is involved.

Also we were discussing potential of recycled business cards which can be made of various kind of recycled materials during prepation meetings. It could be made of banana paper, sugarcane bagasse, etc.

It took long time to prepare their proposals because the theme "Propose a plan which is good for the earth" is tough.
We hope it helps them to think more about our earth and act for the earth.
