10月7日に、「2024年 中学生 地球市民会議」の第1回事前研修をオンラインで行いました。
今回も、なかなか参加者が増えていませんが、学校紹介、テーマについての話し合いなどが大体まとまりました。テーマ「私たちが望む、10年後のアジアの姿」に沿った日本側の発表内容は、ゴミ問題に関わる面白い提案になると思います。乞うご期待！

We had the first preparation meeting for "Global Communication for Junior High School Students 2024" on October 7.
We could discuss the details of School Introduction and the theme.
The Japanese presentation, which will be based on the theme "Our expecting images of Asia in 10 years." will provide some interesting proposals relating to the waste issue.

10月14日（月）に開催する「中学生地球市民会議」の募集についての記事が、新聞に掲載されました。

9月13日に、「2024年 中学生 地球市民会議」の第2回スタッフ会議を開催しました。

新たなボランティアスタッフも加わり、来週から本格的に募集を開始します。新聞社への案内件や、事前研修の内容など、本会議に向けた確認を行いました。
何とか来週中に新聞社へ案内に行きたいところです。

We had the 2nd staff meeting of "Global Communication for Junior High School Students 2024" on September 13.

We got a new volunteer staff, and we will start recruiting participants from next week. We discussed how to introduce the program to newspaper companies, also the details of preparation meetings, etc.

9月13日に、「中学生 地球市民会議」の台湾側とのスタッフ会議を開催しました。

一通り、プログラムの説明と、今後のスケジュールや準備について確認しました。
次回は、システムの動作確認を行う予定です。

We had a staff meeting with Taiwan side on "Global Communication for Junior High School Students" on September 13.

We discussed the program plan and schedules and what to prepare.
We will do system test next time.

9月1日に、「大学生 地球市民会議」の第13回リーダー会議を開催しました。

各分科会の開催の様子や、テーマについての議論、今後の日程などについて話し合いました。
分科会は、まだ回数も参加者も十分ではないようです。リーダーに、自分が担当する分科会の活性化をお願いしたところです。
テーマの「地域活性化の例」については、フィリピン側から興味深い事例がいくつか紹介されました。例えば、「Sangguniang Kabataan Program」という若者が中心に運営する一連のプログラムの紹介がありました。

We had the 13th leaders meeting of "Global Communication for University Students" on September 1st.

We discussed and shared the situation of Subcommittee Group meetings and topics on the theme and following schedules.
We realized that Subcommittee Group meetings are not active yet, and we should make them more active.
There was some good introductions about the theme "Loca Revitalization" from Philippines side. For example, "Sangguniang Kabataan Program" is a set of youth programs for young people around their regions.

「大学生 地球市民会議」は、現在6つの分科会に分かれて、交流や議論を行っています。
募集に手間取り、分科会の開催が遅れましたが、いくつかの分科会でビデオ通話によるミーティングも行われました。
お互い自己紹介したり、日常の紹介をしたりしながら、テーマに沿った議論も始まるものと期待しています。
分科会の開催については、全てリーダーに任せていますので、開催頻度や日程もグループごとに異なります。
少人数の集まりで、お互いがより親密になってくれることを期待します。

"Global Communication for University Students" is currently divided into six Subcommittees where interactions and discussions are held.
Due to delays in recruiting participants, the holding of subcommittees was also delayed, but some groups could hold video call meeting.
We hope that as participants introduce themselves and their daily lives, they will begin to discuss themes.
The management of subcommittees is up to the leaders, so the frequency and schedule of meetings vary from group to group.
We hope that by gathering in small groups, participants will become closer to each other.

8月13日に、「2024年 中学生 地球市民会議」の第1回スタッフ会議を開催しました。
テーマについての話し合いが中心でしたが、無事テーマも決まり、ひと安心です。その後、会場についても決まりました。

We had the 1st staff meeting of "Global Communication for Junior High School Students 2024" on August 13.
The main topic was the theme. We were relieved that we could select the theme.

8月4日に、「大学生 地球市民会議」の第11回リーダー会議を開催しました。

まだ応募者が多くありませんが、今週末から「分科会」を開催します。リーダー7名が担当する7つの分科会で少人数に分かれてコミュニケーションを図ります。3か国の参加者混合で5名程度なので、気軽に話し合いが出来るものと期待しています。意思疎通の道具として「UDトーク」を活用する予定です。

We had the 11th leaders meeting of "Global Communication for University Students" on August 4.

There are not many applicants yet, but we will be holding "Subcommittees" starting this weekend. There will be 7 Subcommittees led by 7 leaders, and participants will be divided into small groups to communicate with each other. There will be about 5 participants from three countries, so we hope that they will be able to have casual discussions. We plan to use "UD Talk" as a tool for better communication.

7月12日に、「2024年 小学生 地球市民会議」の第9回スタッフ会議を開催しました。

今回が、最後のスタッフ会議をなります。
6月30日に開催した小学生地球市民会議のまとめと、これまでのボランティアスタッフとして活動してきたことの感想などを述べ合ったところです。
3月の初回の打ち合わせから、長い期間手伝っていただき、本当に感謝いたします。実りある経験になったことを願っています。また、事前研修と本会議を手伝ってくれたボランティアの皆さんにも感謝申し上げます。

We had the 9th staff meeting of "Global Communication for Primary School Students 2024" on July 12.

This will be our last staff meeting.
We summarized the "Global Communication for Primary School Students" held on June 30th and shared our thoughts on the volunteer work so far.
We are very grateful for their help over such a long period of time since our first meeting in March. We hope that it was a fruitful experience. We would also like to thank all the volunteers who helped with the pre-training and main conference.

7月：募集期間
8月～9月：少人数に分かれての分科会
9月～10月：各国ごとの準備会議
10月26日（土）：本会議
となります。
ポスター、計画書詳細、オンラインの申し込みフォーム、もほぼ出来上がり、やっと募集を開始できます。
少し遅れていますが、8月から少人数に分かれての分科会を開催する予定です。3か国（日本、フィリピン、台湾）の参加者が混じってのオンラインの分科会なので、きっと盛り上がることでしょう。＾＾

July: Recruitment period
August - September: Subcommittee meetings in small groups
September - October: Preparatory meetings at each country
October 26th: Plenary Conference

The poster, plan details, and online application form are almost ready, and we can finally start recruiting.
Although it is a little late, we are planning to hold subcommittee meetings from August. It will be online meetings with participants from three countries (Japan, Philippines, Taiwan). Then it will surely be exciting!
